Michael St. John
Michael St. John

On the last hand of Level 26 (16,000/32,000/4,000), Ryan "Whosyourdoddy" Dodd opened to 96,000 on the button and Michael “UFOLDIWIN” St. John three-bet to 288,000 in the big blind. Dodd called and the two saw a flop of {2-Clubs}{j-Spades}{j-Hearts}. Both players checked.

The turn came {6-Clubs} and St. John checked again. Dodd fired out a bet of 175,000 and St. John called, bringing the total pot up to 934,000. The river fell {5-Diamonds} and St. John checked once more. Dodd fired out a pot-sized bet, more than enough to put St. John all in for his last 543,000.

Faced with a decision for his tournament life, St. John watched his clock expire to bring about his extended time bank. More time passed, and he eventually clicked the call button.

Michael “UFOLDIWIN” St. John: {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}{8-Hearts}{4-Hearts}
Ryan "Whosyourdoddy" Dodd: {q-Spades}{j-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}

St. John had called with aces up and immediately saw the bad news that Dodd had flopped trip jacks. The pot was sent to Dodd, who wound up with all the chips and became the tournament victor, eliminating St. John in second place.

A recap of the tournament will be posted shortly, so stay tuned.
