"AlwaysCheck88" Doubles Through Engel

"AlwaysCheck88"
"AlwaysCheck88"

In Level 18 with blinds of 4,000/8,000 and an ante of 1,000, "Bagels" raised to 16,000 under the gun and saw action fold around to Ari Engel, who three-bet all in for 194,800 in the small blind. "AlwaysCheck" called all in for less in the big blind and "Bagels" thought for a few moments before deciding against making it a three-way all in.

"AlwaysCheck88": {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}
Ari Engel: {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}

"AlwaysCheck88" had Engel dominated and the runout came {10-Hearts}{5-Spades}{3-Hearts}{7-Spades}{3-Diamonds} to leave their king kicker best to go along with the board's pair of threes, scoring them the double at Engel's expense.

Engel Can't Get There; "Pokeher" Gets Two Eliminations

"Pokeher"
"Pokeher"

In the last hand of Level 19 with blinds of 5,000/10,000 and an ante of 1,250, Ari Engel shoved for 102,000 under the gun and action folded around to "Pokeher," who was on the button and called. The players in the blinds folded and the two were off to the races.

Ari Engel": {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}
"Pokeher": {5-Spades}{5-Hearts}

Engel was in a coin flip for his tournament life and needed to improve in order to double. The flop came {a-Spades}{7-Hearts}{j-Hearts} and gave Engel four more outs to Broadway, but he would not find any of his 10 as the turn {7-Clubs} and river {6-Hearts} completed the runout with "Pokeher" taking down the pot with their sevens and fives.

A few hands later, "Pokeher" eliminated "LordRamsaySlays" as their six-four suited wound up best over the ace-king of "LordRamsaySlays."

The two eliminations bring the tournament down to 16 players, just three away from making it into the money.
