Event #8: 420,000 GTD NLH of the partypoker US Network Online Series saw 109 entries logged to generate a total prize pool of $21,800 Wednesday night, and "NewAgedP23" claimed the lion's share of it, winning the tournament for $6,158.50.

The tournament featured a $20,000 guaranteed prize pool, which was exceeded as the night went on and several players found themselves out of chips only momentarily due to the option to re-enter as many times as they wished. Only 21 players remained when the registration period closed and that number dropped to 18 by the time the next break was reached only a handful of minutes later.

Of the 18 to remain, only 13 made it into the money. "spinach_kale" was one to bust before the bubble burst, and within an hour, play was not only in the money, but had reached the final table. "NewAgedP23" had been the chip leader when the final two tables were reached, and they had doubled their stack by the time play reached the final table. Their lead only grew as they eliminated Ted "roystalin" Ely (eighth place) and "upayformypennys" (seventh place) in quick succession.

BorgataPoker.com Sponsored Pro Katie Stone found herself among the final six, and proceeded to knock out "Bagels" in sixth place shortly before "NewAgedP23" scored another knockout, eliminating "DaCoolerKing in fifth place. Stone, however, would see her night come to an end in fourth place after she lost a coin flip with jack-ten to eventual third-place finisher "Stingray99".

When heads-up play began, "NewAged23P" had just shy of a two-to-one chip lead and never found themselves in a worse situation the rest of the match. They saw many small pots sent their way with the occasional sizeable one to go with it, and eventually had over 90% of the chips in play versus their opponent, Alex "JinYang" Butcher. The final hand saw "NewAged23P" make a nut flush with ace-five of hearts in an all-in preflop situation to beat what ended up being two pair for Butcher to secure the victory and earn $6,158.50 for their accomplishment.

Event #8 Final Table Results

In Level 30 with blinds of 30,000/60,000 and an ante of 7,500, "NewAGedP23" won a couple of small pots and "JinYang" was down to their last 365,000.

"NewAgedP23" went all in on the button and "JinYang" called.

"JinYang" hit a four on the flop but found themselves with 15 outs to fade between "NewAgedP23's" two overcards and their newly-flopped nut flush draw. The turn was safe, but the river improve "NewAgedP23 to the nuts and secured their victory of the tournament as a result.

In Level 28 with blinds of 20,000/40,000 and an ante of 5,000, "Stingray99" lost a pot to "NewAgedP23" and were down to their last 521,000. They raised to 120,000 on the button and "JinYang" three-bet to 400,000 in the small blind. "Stingray99" went all in and "JinYang" called.

"Stingray99" was unable to improve, missing the possibility of a chop as well as the board came for them to take third place in the tournament.

The heads-up match has now begun between "NewAgedP23" and "JinYang."

In Level 27 with blinds of 18,000/36,000 and an ante of 4,500, Katie Stone shoved all in for 505,000 in the small blind and "Stingray99" called in the big blind.

Stone had "Stingray99" barely covered, but the two were effectively in a coin flip for their tournament lives and Stone wound up on the wrong side of the coin as the board ran out . She was eliminated on the following hand for the last of her chips to result in her finishing in fourth place, earning a payday of $2,049.20 for her efforts.

In Level 26 with blinds of 16,000/32,000 and an ante of 4,000, "Bagels" jammed for their last 250,000 and received a call from Katie Stone, who was on the button.

A queen came on the flop and a pair of fours finished the runout, leaving Stone's ace kicker playing to knock out "Bagels" in sixth place.

Moments later at the end of the level, "DaCoolerKing" got all in from the cutoff against "NewAgedP23" who was in the big blind.
