partypoker US Network Series (Jan. 17-24)

The second event of the partypoker US Network Online Series is set to get underway at 8 p.m. Tuesday evening with the $20K GTD PKO Bounty 6-Max.

Featuring a buy-in of $320, half of that amount will be added to the total prize pool while the other half will be placed atop each entrant's head as a prize should they be knocked out. Due to the Progressive Knockout format, half of each player's bounty will be collected each time a player earns a knockout while the other half will be added to their own bounty.

Registration is open for everybody in the state of New Jersey across the three platforms of partypoker US, Borgata Poker and BetMGM Poker, with all players receiving starting stacks of 50,000 and blinds beginning at 150/300 and an ante of 40.

Betting rounds will last 10 minutes in length for the first 23 levels, with late registration and unlimited re-entries available through the first 15 of them (approximately 10:40 p.m. ET). After that, they will increase to 12 minutes apiece until a winner has been declared.

In Level 5 with blinds of 400/800 and an ante of 100, Frank "FrankyFunk" Funaro raised to 1,760 on the button and Ryan "simlsgg" Hagerty three-bet to 7,520 in the small blind. Funaro four-bet jammed for 40,000 and Hagerty called all in for 4,000 shy of that number.

Hagerty pulled ahead on the flop but still found himself with 11 outs to fade between Funaro's flush draw and two outs to a set of sixes. Three more outs were added to that tally on the turn , but a safe river left Hagerty's aces best and earned him the double.

Funaro was left with just 4,000 and got it in on the following hand with against the of Alex "JinYang" Butcher, who held and scored the bounty as Funaro was eliminated from the tournament. However, Funaro's elimination did not last long as he quickly re-entered and found a seat at a new table with a fresh stack of 50,000.

In Level 8 with blinds of 800/1,600 and an ante of 200, Katie "KatieStone" Stone jammed for her last 13,000 and received action from "redraider" in the small blind.

At risk for her tournament life, Stone needed to find a jack and was unable to do so as the board ran out to result in her elimination from the tournament at the expense of "redraider", who then moments later also eliminated "wxg5316068" moments later for their third knockout in the last two levels, and they now find themselves with a top-five stack in the tournament.

In Level 11 with blinds of 1,400/2,800 and an ante of 350, a blind-on-blind battle ensued between Eric "alwaysliquid" Vanauken in the small blind and Ross "thehebrewhammer" Gottlieb in the big blind that saw stacks go into the middle and ultimately bring a board of .

Gottlieb had flopped top two pair but Vanauken hit a set of aces on the turn that left Gottlieb with nothing but chop outs to survive. He missed on the river and was eliminated as a result, with Vanauken earning the bounty and the pot to take his stack up to 280,000.

In Level 15 with blinds of 2,500/5,000 and an ante of 625, all of the chips went into the middle preflop between "redraider" in the cutoff and Eric "alwaysliquid" Vanauken, who was on the button. "redraider" was at risk.

"redraider" found some hope on the flop , but a couple of bricks followed on the turn and river and they were eliminated at the expense of Vanauken, who has increased his chip lead as a result and now finds himself as the first player to reach 1 million in the tournament.

Level 16 (3,000/6,000/750) has begun and the registration period is now officially a thing of the past. Final numbers are as follows: 76 entries generated a total prize pool of $22,800, half of which will be distributed among bounties while the other half will be paid out to the top eight finishers.

The eighth-place finisher will earn $370, with payouts increasing until the eventual winner earns themselves $2,908 plus all applicable bounties. Complete payout information can be found in the Payouts Tab above.

In Level 17 with blinds of 3,500/7,000 and an ante of 875, Sponsored Pro Daniel "leinad" Buzgon open-jammed for 97,100 in the hijack and received a call from Eric "alwaysliquid" Vanauken in the cutoff. All remaining players folded and the two were off to the races.

A trey on the flop all but sent Buzgon packing, and the turn confirmed such a result as it ensured no running wheel cards could possibly keep him alive. The river completed the runout and Buzgon was eliminated by Vanauken in ninth place, becoming the official bubble boy of Event #2.

All eight remaining players are now officially in the money, with Vanauken leading the field by a wide margin with a stack of more than 1.8 million.

In Level 19 with blinds of 5,000/10,000 and an ante of 1,250, "Cholie" open-jammed for about 350,000 in the small blind and "l23weeeeeeeee" immediately called all in for barely less in the big blind.

No ten came as the board ran out , failing to double-pair along the way, and "l23weeeeeeeee" earned the double. "Cholie" was left with crumbs that were dusted off the table a couple of hands later to result in their elimination in seventh place, and all six remaining players have now reached the final table.

In Level 20 with blinds of 6,000/12,000 and an ante of 1,500, Eric "alwaysliquid" Vanauken opened to 66,000 under the gun and Alex "JinYang" Butcher three-bet shoved in the hijack for 331,000. Action folded back to Vanauken and he immediately called.

Just moments after ceding a double, it looked as if Vanauken was about to give up another one to Butcher as the flop came to cut his number of outs down to four. The turn left Butcher with just one card between him and a double, but the river gave Vanauken just what he needed to make the best hand and eliminate Butcher in sixth place.
