The WPT Online Borgata Series powered by partypoker US Network continues Saturday night with a pair of high-stakes events, featuring PokerNews coverage of Event #8: $30K GTD Progressive Knockout beginning at 7:30 p.m. ET.

All week long, the guaranteed prize pools have been exceeded by a large amount, with multiple tournaments seeing turnouts to generate prize pools of more than double their guarantee. Another large field is expected Saturday night With a Progressive Knockout format that sees 50% of each player's buy-in put atop their head as a bounty. Any time a player is eliminated, half of their bounty is automatically collected by the player who captured it, while the other half is added to that player's up-for-grabs bounty.

Registration is open for everybody within the state of New Jersey across any of the three platforms of partypoker US, Borgata Poker and BetMGM Poker.

Players start with 50,000 and blinds of 150/300/40. Unlimited entries and re-entries are available through the first 15 levels of play, all of which will last 10 minutes in length. Late registration will close and the prieze pool will become official at approximately 10:15 p.m. ET upon the end of Level 15, and all subsequent levels will be bumped up to 12 minutes in length for the duration of the tournament. In Level 1 with blinds of 150/300 and an ante of 40, the number of entries has grown to 46 in the first six minutes of play and two knockouts have already been recorded, one each by "phillychzsteak1" and "lenny54".

Many recognizable players are already in on the action this Saturday evening, including Borgata Ambassadors Michael "Gags30" Gagliano and Daniel "leinad" Buzgon, as well as Tony "Bond18" Dunst.

In Level 7 with blinds of 600/1,200 and an ante of 150, a series of preflop raises saw stacks go in the middle with Ramon “hoodrathings” Liriano Jr in the cutoff and at risk against Stanton "Stonniepokes" Tentnowski" who was in the small blind and barely covered Liriano Jr.

Not a single Broadway card came on the runout of and Liriano Jr.'s ace-queen remained second best against his opponent's pair of eights to result in his elimination from the tournament.

Level 9 has begun with blinds of 800/1,600 and an ante of 200 as players are resuming from another five-minute break. The guaranteed prize pool of $30,000 has officially been surpassed as 106 entries have been recorded for a total prize pool of $31,800 and counting. Registration will remain open for at least another 75 minutes, and that number is expected to continue climbing throughout the remainder of the late registration period.

In Level 13 with blinds of 1,400/2,800 and an ante of 350, "mfresh299" opened the action with a raise to 2,800 in middle position and "Mdoan21" three-bet to 8,400 on the button. Ryan "Whosyourdoddy" Dodd was next to act in the small blind and cold four-bet shoved for 41,250. "mfresh299" folded to put action back onto "Mdoan21," who thought for a handful of seconds before clicking the call button.

Dodd saw his shove called by a better hand but he had two live cards. One hit on the flop but he was unable to fade his opponent's flopped nut-flush draw as the turn appeared. The river completed the runout and the pot was sent to "Mdoan21" as Dodd was eliminated from the tournament.

Level 16 has begun with blinds of 2,000/4,000 and an ante of 500. Registration has now closed and the prize pool has become official with 139 entries generating a prize pool of $41,700. Half of that is being distributed through bounties, while the other half will be awarded to the top 20 places. A first-level payout will earn players $242 plus bounties, while the eventual winner will earn $5,212 plus all applicable bounties. Complete payout information can be found in the Payouts Tab.

Levels have increased to 12 minutes in length and will stay that way until a winner has been declared.

In Level 20 with blinds of 4,000/8,000 and an ante of 1,000, action folded around to "Mdoan21" on the button, who shoved for 110,000. Michael “IIIIIIIIIIIII” Haberman was in the small blind and came over the top, re-shoving for 204,000. "a_stormy_knight" called both shoves in the big blind.

Haberman was able to fade the combined five outs to scoop both pots as the board came , earning a knockout and more than a double. Meanwhile, "a_stormy_knight" was also eliminated from the tournament to bring the field down to 24 across three full tables. Just four more eliminations are needed for play to reach the money.

In Level 22 with blinds of 6,000/12,000 and an ante of 1,500, "sri50k" raised to 24,000 in middle position and received a call from "mooseman1710," defending their big blind. The flop dropped and "mooseman1710" checked. "sri50k" overbet-shoved for 143,000 and "mooseman1710" thought for a handful of moments before deciding to call.

"sri50k" had two overcards and a flush draw but saw the turn and river brick out to send them to the rail in 21st place as the official bubble finisher of the tournament. The 20 remaining players are now all in the money and will earn $242 plus bounties.

In Level 25 with blinds of 10,000/20,000 and an ante of 2,500, "ELITEMALESSO" opened to 70,000 in the cutoff and "mooseman1710" three-bet shoved in the small blind for 529,000 effective. "ELITEMALESSO" called.

The two were in a coin flip for a pot of 1.1 million and "ELITEMALESSO" saw the runout come to result in their tournament run coming to an end in 10th place as "IReadYrSoul" was eliminated a few minutes prior.

In Level 27 with blinds of 14,000/28,000 and an ante of 3,500, "mooseman1710" saw action fold around to the small blind and jammed to put James "Bagels" Lillis all in for 295,000. Lillis made the call.
