Brandon Lulov Leads Final 12 in Parx Big Stax 1100

The Parx Big Stax XXXII 1100 Championship attracted 629 runners, of which 173 returned for Day 2 action on Sunday. After a long day of play, the field was whittled down to the final 12, all competing for a top prize of $125,588.

Leading the pack is Brandon Lulov with 6.895 million while Jason Deutsch is hot on his heels with 6.37 million. The duo have a good lead on the rest of the field with their next closest competition being Maryland poker pro Christian Harder with 3.725 million.

Others still in contention are Ryan Hagerty (2.13 million), Tom Revello (1.340 million), and Dennis Zollo (965,000), just to name a few.

Among those to cash on Day 2 were Greg Fishberg (19th - $5,886), Michael Marder (22nd - $4,893), Stephanie Hubbard (26th - $4,161), Day 1a chip leader Steven Snyder (40th - $2,973), Daniel Pearlman (45th - $2,973), Bobby Oboodi (52nd - $2,604), Mukul Pahuja )61st - $2,262), Day 1b chip leader Tim Glab (74th - $1,644), and Shuntak Yeung (79th - $1,644).

David Elyazyan got his stack of 555,000 all in preflop and found himself at risk and way behind Mike Cohen.

Ryan Eriquezzo Eliminated in 14th Place ($8,362)

Action folded to Parker Rodriguez in the small blind and he moved all in to put the short-stacked Ryan Eriquezzo to the test in the big. The two-time WSOP bracelet winner liked what he saw and called off for around 300,000.

Unfortunately for Eriquezzo, his tournament came to an end in 14th place when an ace spiked on the flop.

Michael Miller Eliminated in 15th Place ($8,362)

Michael Miller limped the small blind and then called when Jason Deutsch tossed in a raise from the big.

When the flop came down with two diamonds, Miller led out for 195,000 and Deutsch called.

Miller then bet again on a turn and called when Deutsch raised, which led to a completing the board on the river.

Miller tanked for several minutes before deciding to jam for around 1.6 million and Deutsch called.

Miller picked a bad time to make a move as Deutsch had a straight to score the elimination. Miller was ousted in 15th place for $8,362.

Mike Linster Eliminated in 16th Place ($6,987)

Mike Linster raised to 65,000 from early position and called when Brandon Lulov three-bet to 220,000 from the button.

Linster proceeded to check-call a bet of 165,000 on the flop before both players checked the turn.

When the put four spades on the board, Linster led out for 325,000 and Lulov raised all in. Linster, who had around 1.7 million total, quickly called off.

Linster had sixes full of queens but it was no good as Lulov went runner-runner to make queens full of nines. The table, and especially Linster, was shellshocked by the sudden turn of events.

"That one is going to take a while to shake off," Linster said as he made his way to the payout desk in 16th place to collect $6,987.

Fishberg and Lulov Collide in Biggest Pot of Tournament Thus Far

Greg Fishburg opened for 60,000 under the gun and Brandon Lulov three-bet to 200,000 next to act. Action folded back to Fishberg and he pushed back with a big four-bet to 960,000.

Lulov paused for a few beats before moving all in for 2.285 million and Fishberg didn't take long to call off for approximately 2 million total.

Lulov had the goods and it cost Fishberg his tournament life as he failed to catch on the runout.

Fishberg exited in 19th place for $5,886.

Patel Has a Kicker Problem

Hubbard Hosed in Race Situation

After David Elyazyan opened for 50,000 from the cutoff and Sam Ganzfried three-bet to 130,000 from the button, Stephanie Hubbard moved all in for 365,000 from the big blind. Elyazyan wasted little time in folding while Ganzfried thought for more than a minute before making the call.

It was a flip and Hubbard held on the flop. Unfortunately for her, the dealer burned and turned the to give Ganzfriend the lead.

The river was no help to the last woman in the field and she headed to the payout desk in 26th place to collect $4,161.

Loffreno Dispatches Parx Poker Ambassador

After the under-the-gun player raised to 18,000, Parx Poker Ambassador Esther Taylor, who late registered on Day 2, called off her last 15,000. Matt McGuire called from the hijack, Frank Loffreno did the same from the button, and the big blind made it four active players to the flop.

"This is a good spot for me," Taylor said before the three cards were spread. Indeed, she had a chance to turn her paltry stack into high five figures if she could come out the victor.

The big blind checked, as did the original raiser, and McGuire bet 15,000. Loffreno called, the big blind folded, and the UTG player came along to see the turn.
