Russell Rothstein opened for 12,500 from early position only to have Jeff Hong three-bet jam from the button for around 65,000. The player in the small blind called off for a bit less, and then Jason Brauda did the same from the big.

All four players had big hands, but it was Rothstein pulling out to a big lead on the flop. The turn improved him to two pair and he notched three eliminations in one hand after the completed the board on the river.

Matt McGuire raised to 12,000 from early position only to have Michael Ward three-bet all in for 46,000 from the hijack. William Corvino called that from the small blind and McGuire popped it to 110,000 to go. Corvino responded by moving all in for 185,000 total and McGuire quickly called.

It was a cooler and unfortunately for Ward and McGuire they were on the bad end of it. The board ran out a clean and Corvino held to eliminate Ward and double through McGuire here in the early goings of Day 2.

A player opened for 13,000 from the hijack only to have Kamal Kuchana three-bet jam for 55,000 from the cutoff. Stephanie Hubbard was on the button and moved all in over the top, which inspired both blinds and the original raiser to get out of the way.
