Seidel Picks off Marchese's Bluff

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 2,000 ante

Tom Marchese opened to 46,000 from under the gun and the action folded all the way to Erik Seidel who called in the big blind. The flop fell {j-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{7-Spades} and both players checked.

The turn was the {4-Hearts} and Seidel check-called 58,000 from Marchese.

The river brought the {3-Spades} and Seidel checked a third time. Marchese opted to fire another bullet - this one was worth 137,000. Seidel again called and Marchese instantly mucked his hand. Seidel opened {q-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for a pair of nines and was shipped the pot.

Marchese dropped to 470,000 chips while Seidel chipped up to 930,000.
