Oliver Still Opening Things Up

Level 30 : 60,000/120,000, 15,000 ante

From Chris Oliver raised to 255,000 with the {6-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}. Sam Stein flat-called in the cutoff seat with the {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds} and the flop came down {Q-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}. Oliver fired 315,000 and Stein flatted behind.

The turn brought the {6-Hearts} and completed a possible flush draw. Oliver held the only heart and checked. Stein checked behind.

The river completed the board with the {3-Clubs} and both players checked. Oliver won the pot with his pair of sixes and Stein shook his head.

One thing is for certain, Chris Oliver isn't scared to raise preflop and is doing so at every opportunity.

Steinberg Turns Two Pair and Shoves

Level 30 : 60,000/120,000, 15,000 ante

From the cutoff seat, Max Weinberg raised to 240,000 with the {10-Hearts}{7-Hearts}. Sam Stein defended from the big blind with the {K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}.

The flop came down {A-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{5-Diamonds} and Weinberg flopped the best hand with a pair of sevens. Stein checked his king high to him and Weinberg fired 315,000 with his middle pair. Stein studied for a while and then attempted a bluff raise to 785,000. Weinberg flatted in position.

With the pot at 2.215 million, Stein checked the {10-Clubs} that fell on the turn. Weinberg picked up two pair, but it looked like Stein was shutting this one down. Weinberg had about a pot-sized bet left in his stack and moved all in. Stein quickly mucked and Weinberg won the pot. He's got about four million now.

Ionel Bluffs, Hall Picks if Off

Level 30 : 60,000/120,000, 15,000 ante

Galen Hall opened to 255,000 with {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts} from under the gun and the action folded all the way to Anton Ionel who called with {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} from the big blind.

The flop fell {5-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{5-Clubs} and Ionel checked to Hall who continued for 220,000. Ionel check-raised to 460,000 and Hall called.

The dealer burned and turned the {a-Spades} and Ionel quickly checked. Hall checked behind.

The river was the {q-Diamonds} and Ionel bluffed again, firing 545,000.

“You didn’t bluff once yesterday,” Hall said to him.

After mulling it over Hall eventually called, and when the hands were tabled he was shipped the pot pushing him over 7 million chips.

Weinberg Crippled in Crazy Hand

Level 30 : 60,000/120,000, 15,000 ante

From under the gun, Chris Oliver stayed with his foot on the gas, raising to 250,000 with the {A-Hearts}{2-Clubs}. Sam Stein flatted in position again against Oliver with the {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}. Galen Hall was on the button and went for the reraise to take down the pot with the {K-Hearts}{2-Spades}. He made it 735,000 to go, picking up on the play of the other two.

Mike Sowers was in the small blind and picked up on everything that was going on. He took his entire stack holding the {A-Spades}{J-Clubs} and shipped it into the middle, moving all in for 3.4 million. Max Weinberg shipped it in from the big blind after waking up to the {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}. Everyone else folded and Sowers and Weinberg were left heads up.

The flop came down {7-Spades}{6-Spades}{2-Hearts} and kept Weinberg's queens in front. The turn brought the {5-Spades} and gave Sowers a flush draw to go with his one overcard. The river completed the board with the {J-Spades} and Sowers nailed the spade he needed. He won a massive pot while Weinberg was crushed.

What the common fan may not know is that everything in this hand was quite amazing from a poker-thinking standpoint. First, Hall picked up on the things Oliver and Stein were doing. Then, Sowers correctly read the situation in front of him from the small blind, but just happened to run into the queens for Weinberg in the big blind. This is some amazing poker being played by all of these young players.
