Negreanu and Koon Eliminated Just Before the Break

Level 6 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

We caught the tail-end of Jason Koon's elimination hand where he held {9-}{9-} on a {4-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{2-Spades}{Q-} board. Unfortunately, Daniel Colman held {Q-}{Q-}. The money went in sometime before the river, so it is no surprise Koon was extremely unhappy with his opponent's rivered set.

Around the same time, Daniel Negreanu moved all in for his last 10,000 or so with {5-Hearts}{6-Hearts} and was called by the {J-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} of Amichai Tzvi Barer. "I'm drawing live," Negreanu said as the flop came down {2-Spades}{2-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}, giving him the lead with a pair of fives.

"Oh-oh, diamond," Negreanu chirped when the dealer burned and turned the {A-Diamonds}. Sure enough, the river was the {9-Diamonds} and Tzvi Barer hit a flush. Negreanu was sent to the rail with one bounty.
