McCormick Shoves on the Chip Leader

Level 25 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante

Martin McCormick opened for 80,000 from middle position and received a call from chip leader Leonardo Pires. The rest of the field folded, the flop fell {5-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}, and McCormick continued for 75,000, which Pires called.

When the {6-Spades} appeared on the turn, the unconventional McCormick moved all in for 906,000 and Pires quickly folded.

Pires Loses the Chip Lead for First Time in Days

Level 25 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante

Leonardo Pires raised to 100,000 from early position and Vladimir Troyanovskiy called from the cutoff. The {10-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{k-Spades} flop saw Troyanovskiy call a bet of 150,000 from Pires, and then both players checked the {J-Clubs} turn.

When the {Q-Clubs} completed the board on the river, Pires led out for 350,000 but snap-folded when Troyanovskiy raised to 750,000.

With that, Pires dropped to 3.817 million, which means the new chip leader is Mike Watson with 4.16 million.

Troyanovskiy Dumbfounded

Level 25 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante

With 667,000 in the pot and four players looking at a {6-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{6-Hearts}{4-Clubs} flop, Randy Kritzer checked the big blind and Matt Waxman did the same from middle position. Vladimir Troyanovskiy checked from the hijack, and Ken Demlakian bet 262,000 from the button.

After two folds, Troyanovskiy called and both players checked the {Q-Clubs} river.

"You got very unlucky," Demlakian said after Troyanovskiy showed the {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}. Demlakian then showed he'd paired the queen on the river with the {q-Spades}{5-Hearts}.

Ami Barer Eliminated in 15th Place ($41,360)

Level 25 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante
Ami Barer - 15th Place
Ami Barer - 15th Place

A short-stacked Ami Barer got his stack of 582,000 all in preflop and was in a classic race against Mike Watson.

Watson: {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}
Barer: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}

Barer needed to improve, and he did just that on the {k-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} flop. The {6-Spades} turn meant Barer only needed to dodge one of two queens on the river, but that proved easier said than done as the {Q-Hearts} spiked to give Watson a set!

With that, the 2014 Aussie Millions champ took his leave in 15th place for $41,360.

Level 25 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante

Toby Lewis raised to 60,000 and David Eldridge called in position after which Timothy Ulmer called from the big blind.

Ulmer lead for 275,000, Lewis quickly folded and Eldridge made the call. Ulmer showed {A-Spades}{3-Spades} and he took down this pot.
