What had started with a small three-bet pot and 11,000 invested brought Supitong Popiyukkul and Eng Siang Ewe to the {7-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{4-Spades}{8-Spades} turn. Popiyukkul bet 34,000 and then called a raise to 90,000 by Ewe. They then headed to the {a-Clubs} river on which Popiyukkul checked again.

Ewe now bet 120,000 only for his table neighbour to check-shove for 279,500 total. One time bank was used by Ewe before he made the call. Popiyukkul tabled the {7-Clubs}{6-Clubs} for a flush and that beat the {8-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} of Ewe.

The second casualty of the tournament followed just minutes after the first one. Eng Siang Ewe was moved tables to balance a growing field and tangled in heads-up pot with Hoang Huy Tran.

Tran used two time banks and then called to get shown the {k-Hearts}{6-Hearts} for a missed flush draw. That was beaten by the {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} of Tran, who claimed the chips.
