Side Event winner Kok Weng Beh had re-entered before the late registration closed but never got to run up a stack. He now three-bet jammed for just 31,500 and Chi Fu Sze looked him up after a couple of seconds of consideration.

The task became more difficult on the 8♣7♣5♥ flop as Sze picked up the nut flush draw on top. Some chop outs came with the 6♦ turn but the 5♠ river paired the board to eliminate Beh.

Spain's Paul Fontan Castrillon asked for a five but the wish wasn't granted because the dealer mucked his cards right away and then shipped the pot over to Maurillo Balauitan. On a board of J♥3♣2♦A♦7♥, the A♠J♠ of Balauitan made trips aces and that was good enough to score the knockout.

Soon after, the next table broke as the field was down to the last 40 hopefuls.

In a battle cutoff versus button, Harun Mzb check-jammed over the top of a bet worth 50,000 by Won Jae Lee on a completed board of 10♦6♥3♠Q♥7♦. The shove was for 70,000 more and and Lee tank-folded once again, but still had a healthy stack.

What followed next was a battle of the players from South Korea when Lee jammed himself on a 8♠6♦3♠9♣ turn. Junho Kim sigh-called for the 110,500 he had behind and that created a large pot at the very end of level 12.

The 2♦ river kept the aces in the lead and Lee was left with slightly more than the starting stack as the final 40 players headed into a scheduled 15-minute break.

Ricardo Torres raised to 7,500 and Lijun Zhang called, which led them to the A♦K♦Q♥ flop. the continuation bet of 7,000 by Torres was called and Zhang came along again on the 6♥ turn when Torres bet another 16,000.

Last but not least, Torres bet the 4♥ river for 20,000 and he called a raise to 50,000 by Zhang, who revealed the J♦10♥ for broadway. Torres shook his head and mucked the cards.

Chi Fu Sze and William Teoh invested 5,000 each on the Q♠10♣3♠ flop and 5♦ turn. Teoh checked the J♠ river and Sze bet 11,000. The check-shove by Teoh for 41,500 followed and Sze tanked so long that the clock was called on him.

During the 30-second countdown, Sze called and Teoh tabled the K♥J♣. Sze was very reluctant to expose his cards but he had to do so according to the all-in showdown rules, flashing the J♦8♦.

Lijun Zhang raised to 6,000 and earned two callers in Yicun Ma as well as Hui Shen Mok. Enrico De Rosa then pushed all-in for 29,000 on the button and Gai Lax Lim called all-in for 9,000. Zhang, Ma and Mok all called and the three active players checked down the 10♦5♥3♥2♣8♣.

De Rosa's A♦Q♣ were matched by the A♥Q♦ of Zhang but they were no good. Lim tabled the Q♥Q♠ to win the side pot and Ma's J♠10♠ beat the 9♠9♦ of Mok for the bigger main pot.

There was some grins all over the table when Won Jae Lee turned over the 7♦2♥ out of the big blind as he was up against his former nemesis Junho Kim, who revealed the A♠6♠ for middle pair and the nut flush draw on the 7♠6♦2♠ flop.

The 9♣ turn and 10♣ river runout changed nothing whatsoever and Lee stuck around with now more than 20 big blinds.

Three way action to the A♥K♥5♣ flop brought a bet worth 13,000 by Hal Rotholz and he was check-called only by Edwin Dela Cruz. That led them to the 6♠ turn on which Cruz checked once more. Rotholz now bet 27,000 and that eventually won the pot.

One table over, Junho Kim bet a heads-up river of 9♣7♣6♣5♣8♥ for 30,000. Artem Utvinskii gave it some thought and then folded as he was shown the K♣J♣ by Kim.
