Torres Pays Off Mok

Level 15 : Blinds 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

On the tail end of a KQ2104 board, Ricardo Torres checked out of the small blind. Hui Shen Mok made it 20,000 to go and Torres called to get shown the AJ for broadway by Mok, which left the local player on the ropes with just ten big blinds.

Alan Tsang jammed for 45,000 on the button and William Tsang rejammed out of the small blind with the far bigger stack. Won Jae Lee in the big blind sighed after he had checked his cards and even flashed the AJ to everyone at the table before floor staff reminded him that was not allowed.

"Come on, let's gamble," Teoh grinned and Lee was pained by his decision. He tanked another minute and folded.

Alan Tsang: J10
William Teoh: 99

Tsang groaned as the board ran out A54Q10, after which Tsang survived thanks to the river. "Good fold bro," Tsang joked to Lee to rub it in even more.

Level 15 : Blinds 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Artem Utevskii had survived an all-in showdown in a battle of short stacks versus Ricardo Torres, who was then all-in for 11,000 out of the big blind next. Alessandro Taranto opened to 10,000 and folded when Utevskii pushed all-in.

Ng Jams the Turn

Level 15 : Blinds 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

A rather small pot emerged to the 654A turn on which Wai Loon Ng checked. Hal Rotholz bet 11,000 for Ng to then push all-in for all with a large stack which Rotholz had covered. That sent the American into the tank and he then folded.

"Two pair and a flush draw," Ng mentioned in the table chat.

Kanishka Samant
Kanishka Samant

Jose Drilon doubled for 69,000 when his 76 beat the A10 of William Teoh thanks to a KQ85A runout, which improved Drilon to a flush eventually.

Moments later, Ricardo Torres jammed the Q9 and Alessandro Taranto called with the A6 out of the blinds. The AQ582 board brought an end to the run of Torres.

"I take from them and we give to you," the Italian joked towards the table chip leader Lijun Zhang.

One further all-in showdown took place when Kanishka Samant flipped for the last 51,000 versus Hal Rotholz.

Kanishka Samant: 77
Hal Rotholz: AQ

The mighty pair remained ahead all the way on the J92J4 board as Samant celebrated his double-up. Their table then prepared to move and switch to the live stream setup as 26 contenders headed into a scheduled 15-minute break.

Level 16 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Wooseok Kim raised to 12,000 on the button and Chi Fu Sze jammed for 96,000 in the small blind. Jose Drilon in the big blind was pained by his decision and sighed. He then grabbed his smart phone to record his cards when checking them again, before tanking another 45 seconds.

The fold followed and Kim also let go as well.
