Small Pots for Mondalo and Lee

Artem Utevskii raised it up and was called by the early chip leader Bonifacio Mondalo. As they headed to the J♠10♥2♥ flop, Mondalo checked and Utevskii continued for 600. The check-raise for another 2,200 on top followed and Utevskii folded.

New on the table is fellow Filipino player Moses Saquing, while Cheong Yew Lee also entered the fray.

In the meanwhile, Thijs Hilberts defended his big blind against a cutoff raise by Suya Lee but quickly check-folded a K♣7♦6♦ flop.

Kim Caught Bluffing by Lee

With some 14,000 in the middle to the K♦2♥2♠5♣ turn, Taehyung Kim bet 10,000 and Suya Lee called. That led them to the J♦ on the river after which Kim pushed all-in for 16,200. Lee mulled it over for two minutes and the clock was called on him.

Lee called eventually and Kim rolled over the A♦8♥, which was beaten by the K♣Q♣ of Lee. "Nice try Sir," Thijs Hilberts joked while Lee replied to another player at the table "I never played with him before".

Beng Key Teoh called a squeeze to 2,200 by Thanh Ha Duong and then led all streets of a J♥J♠6♠2♦3♥ board. The bets were for 1,000, 2,000 and 6,000 respectively which Duong called down. Teoh revealed the J♦J♠ for quads jacks and his opponent could all but smile.

Saquing Loses Loads to Cruz

Picking up the action on a completed board of 9♣9♦6♠4♠A♣ river, Alexis Cruz opted to check. Moses Saquing then bet big for 17,000, which represented essentially two thirds of his stack. Cruz sighed visibly but made the call after a couple of seconds of consideration.

Saquing mucked and the pot was awarded to Cruz before he was moved tables to balance the growing field.

Beh Wins a Few Chips Back

Sumendap Joins the Early Big Stacks

Marvin Sumendap and Jhon Hendri built a larger pot to the K♠7♣7♥J♣3♣ river on which Sumendap bet for 13,000. That represented the remaining stack of Hendri, who opted to fold.

One hand later, there was an open raise to 600 and Hendri three-bet to 5,600 in order to win a tiny portion of the losses back.
