Gary Thompson checked from an early position and then called a bet worth 7,500 by Tom Radbone with the turn showing 10♥3♥2♣6♠. Both checked the K♦ on the river and Thompson flipped over the Q♣10♣ for a pair of tens with a queen kicker.
Radbone had the superior kicker with A♣10♦ and dragged in the pot.
Over on table one, Ricardo Torres can be found with nearly three times the starting stack. He had made a deep run on Day 1b and narrowly missed out on the money but the early stages of Day 1b have been promising.
Recently, Torres knocked out Ryan Platon when his Q♠10♦ turned as straight versus A♦6♥ on a board of K♣Q♥9♦J♦4♦ to score the final blow.
After an all-in showdown had gone wrong, Gary Thompson was down to a single T-100 chip and he got that in. Daniel Francis raised the button and folded when Thanh Ha Duong jammed.
Gary Thompson: 5♠3♦
Thanh Ha Duong: A♦Q♥
The K♥6♥5♦4♣8♠ board delivered the five, bumping Thompson's stack to 900.
He then jammed again and was called three ways. It checked around on the K♥Q♦5♣ flop and Lorelyn Estacion check-called a bet worth 1,500 by Francis on the 3♦ turn. She did so again for 5,500 on the 6♥ river and Francis tabled the A♦2♦ for a missed draw, dropping to 1,000 himself. Estacion won the side pot with the Q♠10♥ but Thompson had the best of it with the K♠5♥,
Richard Sheils, commonly known as online poker streamer aka "Ginge Poker", relocated to Asia and has been making some exploits in the real estate market. Now based on the Philippines, he entered not long ago and was spotted involved in the action on a A♣10♦8♦3♥ turn.
Sheils checked to Joseph Sia on the button who bet 4,000. The Brit check-jammed for 14,600 and Sia reluctantly folded.
With just 10,500 in the middle to the 10♣9♠5♥Q♣ turn, Joseph Reyes bet 5,000. Long Meng then pushed all-in for 29,900 on the button, which sent Reyes into the tank. More than a minute later, the local player called with the superior stack.
Long Meng: 8♣5♣
Joseph Reyes: 5♦5♠
The 10♥ river only improved Reyes to a full house as Meng headed to the rail.
Over on table two, Chris Feng had put his hopes on 10♣7♣ for a flush draw on the A♣K♣2♦ flop and he was up against the A♥Q♥ of Christopher Chua. The board completed with the 6♦ turn and K♠ river, sending Feng to the rail near the end of level six.
Vietnam's Linh Ran Nguyen has been followed by media from her home country and she has also been recording the action on her table with a GoPro camera. One of the latest hands for the footage brought an all-in showdown in which her A♠Q♣ made aces up on a board of A♥K♦8♠2♦K♣ and that was good enough for a knockout.
Despite winning all-in contest, Nguyen remains just above the starting stack.
