Level 17 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Terrence Dizon was all-in for 87,000 with the Q10 and at risk versus Day 1b chip leader Ryan McAllister, who revealed the AJ. The K96 flop left Dizon on thin ice but he spiked the Q turn, the 2 river was then a blank.

In the meanwhile, several players were eliminated to reduce the field to the last seven tables.

Tollefsen Nearing a Million in Chips

Level 17 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Anthony Tacda raised to 19,000 and was called by Terrence Dizon as well as Henrik Tollefsen. The JJ4 flop was checked to Tollefsen who bet 27,000. Tacda called and Dizon raised to 60,000 for both opponents to call.

The Q on the turn was checked through and Tacda led the 10 river for 100,000. Dizon sigh-folded while Tollefsen only gave it a few seconds to make the call.

"Kings," Tacda announced and flashed the KK, which Tollefsen had beat with 98 for the bottom end of the straight.

Hu Loses It All in Two Hands

Level 17 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Youngsoo Yang took the most classic of flips with QQ against the AK of Jinlong Hu. The A8694 runout was a roller coaster as Yang got there with the flush.

Hu was left short and got it in out of the blinds with the 66 eventually, this time running into the higher pair. Stephen Nathan revealed the JJ and locked it up on the turn of a 855J3 board.

Level 17 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Hal Rotholz defended the big blind against an open raise by Emmanuel Segismundo and check-called a bet worth 28,000 on the AQJ5 turn. The 10 on the river completed a possible straight and flush, prompting both players to slow down and check.

Rotholz tabled the 109 which Segismundo had beat with the QJ for two pair.

Hal Rotholz
Hal Rotholz

At almost the same time, Ikseok Kang and Hal Rotholz were eliminated on different tables to bring the field down to the last six tables.

Kang jammed the A4 into the AQ of Ryan McAllister. There was a sweat on the 108673 board but the superior kicker played.

Rotholz then couldn't beat the KK of William Teoh on the A9922 and became the next casualty, reducing the field to the last 48 hopefuls.
