Teoh Takes Chips off Erquiaga

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

William Teoh check-called the KQ34 turn for 130,000 and the 6 river for 350,000 while in the under-the-gun position. David Erquiaga was the aggressor on the button and flashed the 98 for a busted flush draw. Teoh had that beat with the AK and dragged in a healthy pot.

Anton Del Rosario won an all-in but had been forced all-in for the ante to receive as many chips back, then folded out of the small blind to be left with 15,000.

What followed was a raise to 55,000 by Valeriy Pak and Suya Lee jammed for 270,000. Czar Ian Marcos called out of the small blind and William Teoh jammed all-in over the top. Pak folded and Marcos sighed visibly, then folded pocket jacks face-up.

Suya Lee: AK
William Teoh: 1010

The pair remained ahead on the Q7467 runout and Teoh screamed out his joy before raking in the pot.

Anthony Tacda Eliminated in 14th Place (PHP306,000/$5,529)

Level 23 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Anthony Tacda
Anthony Tacda

Anthony Tacda raised it up to 70,000 and was three-bet to 230,000 by David Erquiaga in the big blind. The initial raiser glanced back at the tournament info screen and jammed for around 700,000, Erquiaga quickly called.

Anthony Tacda: J10
David Erquiaga: A10

When Tacda showed his cards, Erquiaga was almost shocked and let out a scream. As the local crowd gathered, both players held draws on the KQ6 flop. Nothing changed with the 6 turn and the 2 river improved the already superior hand of Erquiaga to a flush.

"I am here to win it," Tacda said and added "just look at all the short stacks." Instead of winning it, Tacda has to settle for 14th place.
