A player under-the-gun open limped and all six other players decided to follow suit so we had a seven-way family pot with the flop coming down .
The under-the-gun player took a stab for 350 and was called by Korea’s Youngee Park, Malaysia’s Kok Cheng Chai and another player on the button so it was four-way to the turn.
The first limper checked, Park decided to take a stab for 1,100 and Chai was the only caller. That was it for the betting and Park ambitiously rolled over for king-high and a missed flush draw meaning Chai’s is good and he gets on the scoreboard early.
Wu, Lo and Zou all played yesterday’s Day 1C and will be hoping that the second time is the charm and they win their Day 2 seats today. Justin Chan is another familiar face who came agonizingly close to making his Day 2 seat on Day 1B before a brutal beat at the hands of Macau’s Sam Cheong saw the Hong Kong player come up short and bubble and we expect Chan to be keen for that not to happen again.

Five more challengers have thrown their hats into the ring with China’s Hairong Ma, Guangrui Meng and Yudong Yang and Hong Kong’s Timothy Yim to bring the total number of entries up to 16, spread over two 8-handed tables. Of the five only Meng has tried his luck already and found it wanting on Day 1C so Meng will be hoping to get the rub of the green here today.

The field is now up to 22 with three tables now on the go with Korea’s Gab Yong Kim, the USA’s Andrew An, Hong Kong's Christina Lai and Malaysia’s Michael Chan, Junzhong Loo and Chin Sun Tan all signing up.
Of the six only Kim and Chan have not previously played with An, Loo, Tan and Lai having previously tried their luck with An playing Day 1A and Loo, Tan and Lai playing yesterday’s 1C.
Lai will definitely be invested in making it through to Day 2 as her partner Percy Chao made it though on 1C and bragging rights count for a lot.

The field has grown to 31 players spread over four tables, though two of these are Korea's Youngee Park and Hong Kong's Timothy Yim, who are now both on their second bullet of the day.
Malaysia’s Michael Chan obligingly raised from late position as we were walking past his table after a player limped in early position, making it 400 to go and finding a customer.
However, that was as exciting as the hand got with Chan’s continuation bet on the flop of flop taking it down immediately.
Andrew An has got his tournament off to a decent start and has edged into an early lead and we caught the US player in action in a multi-way pot. It was Malaysia’s Kok Cheng Chai who was the instigator in this particular hand, making it 250 to go from the cut off with An (button) and both blinds coming along for the ride to take the action four-way to a flop of .
All four players checked the flop and took the free turn card, which the small blind led for 325. While that was enough to get the big blind to bow out both Chai and An made the call and the came in on the river, bringing with it the possibilities of a club flush.
The small blind checked, as did Chai and An decided to play his position aggressively and bet big, firing out a bet of 1,500. The small blind quickly folded but Chai chewed over the decision for several seconds before choosing to keep An honest and making the call.
An turned over and Chai quickly folded leaving An to rake in the pot and climb to 27,200 while Chai dropped to 16,400.
