Daniel Negreanu on a Heater

Level 10 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Daniel Negreanu re-entered during the break, and within 19 minutes of play resuming he's worked his 125,000 starting stack up to 480,000.

He managed to double it right away with ace-king against the ace-ten suited of Justin Bonomo.

Not long after, Negreanu got it in again, this time with pocket tens against the ace-king of Dan Smith. The pocket pair held and just like that Negreanu sits among the chip leaders.

Rainer Kempe Survives David Peters

Level 10 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

A short-stacked Rainer Kempe moved all in for 27,500 from middle position and David Peters called from the cutoff. The rest of the players folded and the hands were turned up.

Kempe: {8-Clubs}{5-Clubs}
Peters: {k-Spades}{9-Spades}

Kempe needed some help, but there wasn't much to be had on the {2-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{j-Clubs} flop. The e{3-Clubs} turn gave Kempe a flush draw, and he made it when the {10-Clubs} spiked on the river.

Sean Winter Holds Over Jason Koon

Level 11 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Sean Winter at the 2017 WSOP
Sean Winter at the 2017 WSOP

Sean Winter raised to 15,000 under the gun and Jason Koon called from the button. Daniel Negreanu came along from the big blind and it was three-way action to the {5-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{q-Spades} flop.

Negreanu checked, Winter continued for 16,000, and only Koon called to see the {7-Hearts} turn, which both players checked.

When the {3-Spades} paired the board on the river, Winter led out for 55,000 and Koon moved all in. Winter snap-called off for 132,500 total with the {7-Clubs}{7-Spades}, which best the {a-Hearts}{6-Hearts} flush of Koon.

Brandon Adams Stays Alive

Level 12 : 3,500/7,000, 7,000 ante
Brandon Adams
Brandon Adams

A severely short-stacked Brandon Adams got his last 18,000 all in preflop and was called by Ben Lamb.

Lamb: {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}
Adams: {4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}

It was a flip, and Adams was looking to hold to stay alive. That's just what he did too as the board ran out {q-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{4-Spades}{k-Clubs}{2-Clubs}.
