Hickey was under the gun and tossed in a "straddle" (really just a in-the-dark raise, as straddles aren't allowed in tournament play) without looking at his cards. There was one caller in middle position. The flop came . Hickey called a bet while still in the dark.
The turn was the , his opponent bet again. Now Hickey finally looked at his cards and saw for bottom set. He raised and his opponent went all in and Hickey snap-called.
His opponent had and the river was a blank to give Hickey the big early pot and bust his opponent.
