‘Lucky’ Jack Dodges Bullets for Double-up

Level 16 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante
Jack Salter - 'really lucky'
Jack Salter - 'really lucky'

The first three hands at the final table were all decided pre-flop with no action before we got the first fireworks. The UK’s Jack Salter lit the blue touch paper with a middle position limp and the action folded around to Mikita Badziakouski in the cutoff, who popped it up to 100,000.

The table folded around to David Peters in the big blind, who asks how much both players have behind – Salter has around 650,000 and Badziakouski has around 1.9 million – and he made the call.

Salter then check-raised all-in and Badziakouski hit the think tank. It was all Hollywood though as he wanted Peters to call. Unfortunately this does not work out quite as planned.

Peters folded and Badziakouski rolled over {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}.

“I wasn’t trying to slow roll you,” said Badziakouski, ‘I was just trying to get some more action.”

“Don’t worry, I’m pretty lucky,” quipped Salter turning over {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}

This is evident as the flop came down {k-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{k-Clubs} to ‘oooohhhhs’ and ‘ahhhhhs’ from the watching rail.

The {6-Spades} turn and {4-Diamonds} river granted Salter the double and the chip lead while Badziakouski took a big hit.
