Asmolov Takes from Li

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Sathesh Muthu raised to 14,000 from under the gun and chip leader Yo Seb Rhee called in the cutoff. Both proceeded to check down the board {9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} and showed {3-Hearts}{3-Clubs} respectively {6-Hearts}{6-Spades} to chop it up thanks to the flush on the board.

Then, Shengyu Li made it 14,000 to go and Timofey Asmolov called from two seats ober. Both checked the {10-Hearts}{7-Spades}{4-Clubs}n flop and Li's bet of 15,000 on the {J-Spades} turn was called. Again there was no betting action on the {3-Clubs} river and Li's {A-Spades}{K-Spades} ended up second-best to the {5-Clubs}{5-Hearts} of Asmolov.

Lee Busts Li with a Bang

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Shengyu Li
Shengyu Li

Hermann Lee raised to 14,000 from the button and Shengyu Li three-bet to 40,000 in the big blind, which Lee called. After the flop of {5-Spades}{4-Clubs}{4-Hearts}, Li continued for 42,000 and Li called before the {J-Hearts} turn was followed by the all in of Li for around 135,000 and a snap-call by Lee.

Shengyu Li: {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}
Hermann Lee: {J-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}

Li needed one of the two remaining tens in the deck, but the {3-Diamonds} river provided no help to see Li leave the table with a "sick hand" on his lips and plenty of gasps and chuckles from other players at the table.

Lee Flushes Rhee

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Hermann Lee raised it up to 13,000 on the button and Yo Seb Rhee three-bet to 35,000 in the big blind. Lee came along for the ride and the duo saw a flop of {6-Spades}{3-Spades}{3-Diamonds}. Rhee continued for 25,000 and Lee called. After the {9-Spades} turn, Rhee checked and called a bet worth 54,000 before the {7-Clubs} river went check, check, again.

Rhee flipped over {A-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for nines and threes, but Lee had that beat with {Q-Spades}{10-Spades} for a queen-high flush.

Mansour Matloubi: {A-Spades}{3-Diamonds}
Jun Obara: {8-Clubs}{6-Hearts}
