Meese's Million

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Ryan Meese called from the button after Brett Gordon made it 33,000 to go on his right.

He also called when Gordon bet 42,000 on the {q-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} flop, and 62,000 on the {7-Hearts} turn. Gordon checked the scary {q-Diamonds} river, however, and Meese wasted little time pushing out enough green 25,000-denomination chips to set Gordon all in for his last 215,000.

Gordon folded and Meese moved firmly into the lead as the first player over the one-million-chip mark.

Tom Pschar Eliminated in 4th Place ($2,467)

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Ryan Meese jammed the small blind and Tom Pschar called all in from the big blind for a couple hundred thousand chips.

It was Meese's {q-Clubs}{7-Clubs} slightly ahead of Pschar's {j-Hearts}{9-Spades}, until the {9-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{5-Clubs} flop gave Pscahr top pair. The {8-Diamonds} made things interesting and thanks to the {6-Hearts} river, Meese made a straight.

Pschar was sent home fourth and Meese increased his lead on the other two remaining.

Brett Gordon Eliminated in 3rd Place ($3,559)

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Brett Gordon open-shoved his last 300,000 or so and Eliano Mesquita called from the big blind with the {k-Spades}{10-Clubs}, having him covered.

Gordon looked good to double with the {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}, but it was not meant to be. Mesquita paired his king on the {k-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{7-Spades} board and sent him packing third.

It's now heads up for the additional $1,300 and the trophy.

Ryan Meese Doubles Up

Level 25 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Eliano Mesquita limped the button and Ryan Meese checked his option.

The flop came down {6-Hearts}{5-Spades}{2-Hearts} and Meese led for 45,000. Mesquita raised to 900,000 and Meese called all in for 885,000 with {6-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}, leading Mesquita's {7-Clubs}{6-Spades}.

The {Q-Hearts} turn and {2-Clubs} river completed the board, further improving Meese's hand to a full house to double up.
