Welcome to Day 2 of the 2014 PokerStars King's Casino Cup!

Roman Mikus

We're back here at the King's Casino in Rozvadov for Day 2 of the 2014 PokerStars King's Casino Cup. 198 players remain out of an initial 551 entries and this has smashed the €200,000 guarantee by some way. Leading the way is Day 1a chip Roman Mikus with 190,500.

Team PokerStars Pro Christophe De Meulder is also still involved with 65,800.

A total of 79 players will be paid a minimum of €1,000 with first place taking home €50,200. The full list of payouts will appear in the tab above shortly. We'll be playing 12 levels today or down to the final table of eight players - though it's like to be the former.

Play begins at 2pm CET with the tournament day scheduled to finish at around midnight.

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

As sure as night follows day, the start of Day 2 of a poker tournament involves more carnage than your average Transformers film. So far, we've lost 11 players in the space of the first ten minutes - at this rate the tournament will be over in less than three hours.

Mateusz Syc has fallen to the chip leader Roman Mikus.

Syc had {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs} against Mikus' {A-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} but the board came {6-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{Q-Spades} to knock out the Polish player.

Targa Drops Some Chips

Petr Targa
Petr Targa

Theodoros Aidonopoulos just got two streets paid off against Day 1c chip leader Petr Targa. The Czech player called bets on the flop and turn of a {9-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{5-Clubs} board before both checked the {K-Clubs} river.

Targa showed {Q-Spades}{7-Spades} but Aidonopoulos was miles ahead with {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs} and the latter won a pot worth around 50,000.

Blasting Blasko

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Max Leonhard had open-shoved for about 27,000 preflop in late position. We're unsure of how it happened but Fahredin Mustafov and Marek Blasko both got all chips in behind Leonhard.

Leonhard: {A-Spades}{7-Spades}
Mustafov: {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}
Blasko: {K-Diamonds}{K-Spades}

The board came {5-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{6-Spades}{4-Diamonds} and Blasko won everything. Leonhard was eliminated and Mustafov was crippled, left with barely 2,000 chips.
