Today marks the first of many Michigan Championship of Online Poker (MICOOP) events on the PokerStars Michigan client. This series boasts a total of 60 tournaments and breaking the Michigan online barrier will be MICOOP-01: $100 NLHE [MICOOP Kick-Off, Nightly Stars SE] $30,000 Guaranteed which starts at 6 p.m. ET. A high level of anticipation has been set for this event as it is the first major online event for the state in what is looking like a revival of the online poker scene in Michigan.
The opening event will be sure to attract a larger than expected field with the great structure that has been set as everyone will be sitting down with 25,000 in chips, although the blinds will be hastily going up every 10-minutes. Late registration will be open for the first 15 levels and anyone who bust out prior can reenter up to three times.

The blinds were 150/300 when "Hubble116" opened to 600 and "Razz149" elected to push in a 1,200 three-bet. "Hubble116" called and "jdhester" stuck around as well to see the flop.
"Razz149" led out for 2,130 and "Hubble116" was the only player to call. A peeled off as the turn and "Razz149" fired once more, putting 4,260 into the middle. "Hubble116" shoved their 48,055 chip stack and "Razz149" called for less.
"Razz149" showed for two pair but it was behind when "Hubble116" tabled , giving them three aces. A river cemented the pot for "Hubble116" who eliminated "Razz149" in the process of doing so.

Not even an hour into the tournament and there has already been over 500 registration buttons clicked, far exceeding the $30,000 guarantee that was set.
From February 20 through March 8, PokerStars and FOX Bet is hosting the inaugural Michigan Championship of Online Poker (MICOOP), which will be comprised of 60 tournaments ranging in buy-ins from $10-$500 and offer $1,000,000 in guaranteed prize pools.

Things will kick off Saturday with the $100 buy-in, $30K GTD Event #1: Kick Off NLH, which will be reported here on PokerNews. The festival will conclude with a $300 buy-in, $125K GTD Main Event on March 7-8, which will also be reported.

On blinds of 200/400 "Aggro cRAGS" opened to 800 from under the gun and five players called, with Peter "PLH729" Hotaling being one of them. The flop hit the virtual felt, "Aggrp cRAGS" bet 2,625 and Hotaling raised to 7,100. "Aggro cRAGS" shoved their 22,250 stack and Hotaling called.

The was not a changer for either player but a river definitely shifted the hands, giving Hotaling a rivered flush to take down the pot, eliminating his opponent.
