Action of the Day

“Alcatraz5432” was one of the top stacks for the entire tournament up until they lost most of their chips at the final three tables holding the nut flush against quads. “Alcatraz5432” didn’t throw in the towel though, and battled back to once again amass a top stack and eventually eliminated that same player in 15th place who had knocked him down with quads.

“Alcatraz5432” entered the final table fourth in chips and wasted no time using them by making the first three eliminations at the final table as "1WINATATIME" fell in ninth, “zscoro” was gone in eighth, and “LetsGoGlobal” made his exit in seventh. ”s7udz” then held cowboys to eliminate ”Buckoh555” in sixth-place, and “s7udz” himself was eliminated in fifth by none other than “Alcatraz5432”, when getting it in with a dominated hand. "kzahrt" was the next player gone in fourth when “Alcatraz5432” made two pair by the river, and soon after, “Alcatraz5432” ousted "C0LD_W0RLD" in third when he turned a straight.

“Alcatraz5432” held a sizeable chip lead going into heads-up play and the first all-in occurred six hands in when his queen-nine was up against the ace-ten of "PowerRanges". The flop and turn were blanks, but the river queen ended the tournament and made him the victor. In total, “Alcatraz5432” made all but one of the eliminations in an impressive final table run, and has been awarded the $16,055 top prize for his tournament victory.
