Aces Versus Kings Rollercoaster Ride

Blinds 300-600

"blueskyQ8" opened to 1,380 from middle position and "Buckeye48875" called on the button, as did "Declan Scott" in the big blind.

The flop was {j-Clubs}{3-Spades}{6-Clubs} and "blueskyQ8" bet 2,100, which saw "Buckeye48875" raise to 4,200. "Declan Scott" folded and "blueskyQ8" re-raised to 13,200. "Buckeye48875" then went all in for 45,185 and was called.

"blueskyQ8": {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}
"Buckeye48875": {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}

"Buckeye48875" looked to be in rough shape until the {k-Spades} came on the turn and vaulted him into the lead. He only needed to fade one of the two aces, but the {a-Clubs} peeled off on the river, turning his despair into joy and back into despair in a matter of seconds, while "blueskyQ8" took the pot with a set of aces.
