The PokerStars Open is a mid-stakes poker tour set up in 2024 by PokerStars, consisting of events all over Europe and North America.
Created from former UKIPT, Eureka, Estrellas and FPS events, PokerStars Open events are set to take place in some of the world's most vibrant destinations throughout 2026 and beyond.
Creation of the PokerStars Open Tour
The maiden year of the The PokerStars Open proved to be massive. The series comprised six standalone stops plus two Open Main Events at European Poker Tour (EPT) Barcelona and EPT Monte Carlo, with each featuring a €1 million guaranteed Main Event.
The PokerStars Open replaces the Estrellas, Eureka, FPS, and UKIPT , promising to take elements of these popular tours to make the new PokerStars Open a roaring success. Each of the six standalone stops plus the special events at EPT Barcelona and EPT Monte Carlo boast a Main Event with a €1/£1 million guaranteed prize pool.
PokerStars Open Season 1 (2025)
The very first PokerStars Open season began in 2025 at the Casino di Campione in Campione, Italy. The winner of the inaugural Main Event was Adrian State from Romania, who collected €363,000 and the honor of calling himself the first PS Open Main Event champion.The casino by the lake drew huge numbers, and Campione will open proceedings once again in 2026.
