Yossi Maymon had gone all-in for 650,000 from middle position and was called by Alessandro Giordano in the cutoff.
Yossi Maymon: A♥K♦
Alessandro Giordano: 10♥10♣
The 6♣7♠10♠ flop provided Maymon with little hope as Giordano made a set. The J♣ provided a sweat, but Maymon's gutshot bricked on the 4♦ river, sending him home.
Gaspare Sposato raised to 50,000 on the button. Christopher Day put in a three-bet to 180,000 from the small blind, after which Luca Pitruzzella called all-in from the big blind for exactly that amount.
Sposato also came along to the 2♦A♣3♦ flop, which Day and Sposato checked through. The Q♦ turn followed a similar recipe until Day bet 255,000 on the 9♣ turn.
Sposato made a quick fold, and Day tabled 5♦4♦ for a flush. Pitruzzella had to table his A♠K♥ before he left the tournament area to pick up his payout.
Salvatore Russo raised to 40,000 from early position before Muhamet Perati three-bet to 140,000 in the small blind. Yossi Maymon cold-called in the big blind and Russo matched the raise as well, going to a flop of 10♥3♥5♠.
It was checked to Russo, who bet 205,000. Perati then jammed all in for 905,000, and Maymon made a quick fold. Russo called with the covering stack, however, and the cards went face-up.
Muhamet Perati: A♦5♦
Salvatore Russo: A♥8♥
Cheers erupted from the rail as the K♥ hit the turn, making Russo his flush and securing him the pot. The J♥ river brought him a useless bonus heart as Perati awaited his payout.
Russo was shipped the pot and ended up with a stack of nearly 150 big blinds.
In a small pot of 125,000, small blind Terrance Reid and big blind Artem Komarov were on a river of 6♥10♣K♣3♣10♠. Reid then put Komarov all-in for
185,000.
Komarov tanked for a while before making the call for his tournament life. Reid showed K♠K♥ for top boat, while Komarov waved off with K♦3♥ for kings and tens.
