Light Button Three-Bet Works for Maamar

Jozef Cibicek opened to 50,000 from the cutoff, before Ramdhane Ben Maamar produced a three-bet to 175,000 on the button.

Nicolas Jean was in the big blind, and after taking some time for thought, he cold four-bet jammed for 490,000. Cibicek quickly got out of the way, but Maamar felt he was priced in and made the call.

Maamar had been caught with his hand in the cookie jar, but the A♠4♥2♠ flop spelt danger for Jean.

The K♠ turn completed Maamar's flush, and Jean couldn't find the redraw on the 9♣ river.

"Sorry bro, good game" said Maamar, and Jean took the beat with class, wishing the table good luck as he departed.

Around 180,000 was in the middle, on a flop of 8♣7♥4♥. Noortje Verstegen checked in the big blind to Djamal Boutaleb in the cutoff, who fired out a bet of 55,000.

He was raised by Gertjan Albers on the button to 135,000, before Verstegen check-jammed for 535,000, earning swift folds from both of her opponents.

Verstegen gave the table a thump in celebration when she realized the jam had got through, achieving close to a double-up without having to show her hand.

On the 10♠6♦4♦ flop, Orduzu checked to Danes, who fired out a bet of 125,000. Only Barton called.

The 7♦ hit on the turn, and Danes fired again with a bet of 150,000. This time Barton let his hand go in sharp order.
