2020 Pennsylvania Championship of Online Poker [PACOOP]

Event #11 of the 2020 PACOOP: $200 NLHE [Super Tuesday SE], $40K GTD surpassed its guaranteed prize pool by over 50% Tuesday night, drawing 325 entries (205 entries, 120 re-entries) to produce a $60,450 total prize pool.

Just over six-and-a-half hours of play brought the number of remaining players down to four, and a deal was then agreed upon with "POCKETNINEE" holding the chip lead at the time. A total of $800 was set aside for the winner, which they ultimately claimed to contribute toward their first-place winnings of $9,670.

The tournament started with 45 registered players, though that number more than doubled in the first two levels of play. Roughly one-third of the 325 entries recorded throughout the three-hour late registration period remained when the prize pool became official, and it took less than an hour from there to reach the money, where the top 47 were paid.

Another hour went by before the final two tables were reached, and eventually only nine remained after "POCKETNINEE" eliminated "Dkoot74" in 10th place on the final table bubble. The theme of the final table was an overall roller coaster that nobody seemed to be immune to, and "POCKETNINEE" cracked pocket kings with ace-queen during five-handed play to take the chip lead and never look back, single-handedly eliminating "ButtonM@sher", "mord57", "LelandGaunt38", and "gtl666" to amass all the chips in the tournament and claim victory.

In Level 37 with blinds of 60,000/120,000 and an ante of 15,000, the first seven hands of heads-up play saw zero flops. On hand number eight of the match, "POCKETNINEE" raised to 240,000 on the button and "gtl666" shoved for 2.66 million. "POCKETNINEE" called.

"gtl666" was unable to spike a three outer as the runout came and the pot was shipped to "POCKETNINEE", who became the winner of PACOOP 11 as a result, earning an additional $800 to bring their total winnings for the evening up to $9,670 while "gtl666" has taken second place, earning a prize of $6,601 as agreed upon from the four-way chop.

A jack on the turn was not enough as the runout left "mord57" unable to beat the pair of aces that "POCKETNINEE" hit on the flop and they finished in fourth place in the tournament shortly after agreeing to a deal.

Hand #2: Three hands later, "POCKETNINEE" opened to 300,000 on the button and "LelandGaunt" re-shoved for 1.64 million in the small blind. "POCKETNINEE" called.

Hand #1: In Level 35 with blinds of 40,000/80,000 and an ante of 10,000, "ButtonM@sher" open-jammed for 566,000 in the cutoff and "NAAAARD" called in the big blind.

The board ran out , giving "ButtonM@sher" a set of kings to double and leave "NAAAARD" as the shortest stack in the tournament with just 670,000.

Hand #2: Exactly one orbit (six hands) later, "ButtonM@sher" once again open-jammed in the cutoff to put all remaining players all in. "mord57" called all in as the effective stack of 1.077 million, and "NAAAARD" also called all in for 570,000.

The flop left "mord57" ahead, but "ButtonM@sher" picked up four direct outs on the turn to score a double knockout. When all was said and done, the river only improved the already-best hand of "mord57", earning them both pots good for 2.82 million and the knockout with their set of queens.

"NAAAARD" was eliminated from the tournament in sixth place as a result, receiving a payday of $2,423.

In Level 34 with blinds of 35,000/70,000, "uwillmiss" and "NAAAARD" found two more doubles apiece as play continued. Nearing the end of the level, "POCKETNINEE" raised to 161,000 ;utg and action folded around to "uwillmiss" in the cutoff, who re-shoved for 1.02 million. Action made its way back to "POCKETNINEE" and they called.

The third chance to double for "uwillmiss" proved to be too much to accomplish as their eights remained second best to their opponent's jacks through a runout of and they finished the tournament in seventh place as a result, earning $1,782 for their efforts.

Left with three outs, they all missed on the river and "Dkoot74" became the 10th-place finisher in the tournament. In Level 30 with blinds of 15,000/30,000 and an ante of 3,750, "ButtonM@sher" raised to 63,000 in the hijack and action folded around to "youngster0480" in the sbsmall blind who called. Action went heads up to a flop of and "youngster0480" check-called a continuation-bet of 116,000 from "ButtonM@sher".

The turn came and "youngster0480" led out, overbet-shoving for the 732,000 that "ButtonM@sher" had remaining. They immediately called.

"youngster0480" had shoved after turning top two pair, but it had also given "ButtonM@sher" the nuts. The river failed to improve "youngster0480" to a full house and the pot of nearly 1.88 million was shipped to "ButtonM@sher", making them the new chip leader.

Meanwhile, "Seanell", and "BirdBrain64" were eliminated from the tournament while "youngster0480" was left with 175,000 that they also lost shortly thereafter. The three eliminations brings the field down to 10, and hand-for-hand play has begun once again across the two remaining tables as the tournament has reached the final table bubble.
