Welcome to Day 2 of PokerNews' coverage of the PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker Main Event. Yesterday, a field of 1,627 took to the virtual felt with hopes of capturing WCOOP glory. A total prize pool of $8,135,000 was generated with first place set at $1,464,300. After 22 levels of play on Day 1, only 167 players remain.
Leading the way into Day 2 is "NUTZBOT" with 649,769, but there are plenty of big names still in the thick of things. Eugene Katchalov (273,015), Matthias "mattidm" De Meulder (254,378), Johnny Lodden (231,518), Mickey "mement_mori" Petersen (177,253), and s short-stacked Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier (42,426) are still in representing Team PokerStars. Short Day for ElkY
One of the tournament's most dangerous threats has just been eliminated. Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier got his remaining 62,352 chips in preflop with
