Michael Gathy is third in chips heading into Day 2

At 1.05 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST), the remaining 14 players out of a field of 108 entries in PokerStars WCOOP-21-H: $5,200 NLHE [6-Max, Progressive KO] will play down to a champion. They have all locked up a cash portion of the $540,000 total prize pool but the elusive WCOOP title is up for grabs in the latest high stakes event of the PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker 2020.

Leading the field into the final day is Jon "apestyles" Van Fleet with 2,214,696 in chips and he has also accumulated the most bounty prizes by some margin. Second in chips is Malta resident Michel "FreeLancerZZ" Dattani with a chip stack of 1,901,575, followed by Michael "merla888" Gathy with 1,521,600.

There is already a gap to the only other remaining chip millionaireAlexandru "steakaddict." Papazian, who has 1,052,084 at his disposal. Plenty of other notables are in contention for the WCOOP title including Patrick "pads1161" Leonard (709,346), Preben "prebz" Stokkan (683,777), 2020 SCOOP event winner "Passiveaggro" (542,483), Sami "Lrslzk" Kelopuro (343,121), online poker coach Alexandros "Pwndidi" Theologis (223,571) and Talal "raidalot" Shakerchi (94,195).

The action recommences with returning blinds of 5,000/10,000 and a running ante of 1,250, all levels will increase to a duration of 25 minutes each for the remainder of the tournament.
