$235 Survivor
Day 1 Started
Welcome back to the Peppermill Resort Hotel and the 2016 Run It Up Reno festival hosted by Jason Somerville for Event 3: $235 Survivor!
Today is all about survival as the tournament will set aside one survivor for every $1,000 in the prizepool (every 1 in 5 players), and once the tournament has reached that stage everyone will be paid out an equal $1,000 with any left over money set aside for the Bubble Boy. A Run It Up Reno trophy is also on the line and will go to whoever amasses the biggest chip stack once the money is reached.
Last year's running saw 180 players create a $17,996 prizepool that paid the final 22 players with the likes of David Spurr, Alex Lavinthal, Deb Swift and Dwight Ross all capture $818 each. A similar size field is expected today, and with re-entries through the first nine levels, even more players will expect to be one of the Run It Up Reno Survivors!
Play is set to begin at 12:00 p.m. PDT with PokerNews providing continuous live updates of the tournament, and the entire Run It Up Reno festival.
