$1,100 Thursday Thrilla
Day 1 Started
Welcome back to PokerNews’ coverage of the Run It Up Reno IX! Today PokerNews will be covering the $1,100 buy-in, $150K GTD Thursday Thrilla Bounty – a tournament that will see each player with a $500 bounty on their head.
The tournament is played with a big blind ante, 30-minute levels, and a 20,000-starting stack. Registration and re-entries will be open through the first ten (10) levels. When the final table is reached, levels increase to 40 minutes, and during heads-up play will change to 20 minutes. There will also be a 60-minute dinner break at the end of Level 12. The plan for Day 1 is to play down to a final table, no matter how long it may take.
Former champs of the Thrilla include Run It Up Reno VII champ Mark Mazza for $24,100, Run It Up Reno VIII champ Adin Cota for $20,400, and both players are expected to attempt to earn their second Thrilla championship today. The Thirst Lounge is also expected to be out in force today, with last night's $175 Moneymaker Tour Event champ Drew "BetOnDrew" Gonzalez looking to add the Thrilla trophy to go with his PokerStars Platinum Pass.
