Busquet Evades Gardenhire's Trap

Level 6 : 300/600, 50 ante

Justin Gardenhire opened to 1,400 and called a three-bet to 4,200 from Olivier Busquet, who was in the cutoff. The RunGood Team Pro check-called 3,500 on the {5-Spades}{q-Clubs}{q-Spades} flop, and both players checked the {k-Diamonds} and {a-Hearts}. Gardenhire turned over {5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} for a flopped boat, and Busquet showed {k-}{10-}.

Henson Eliminates One

Level 6 : 300/600, 50 ante

RunGood Team Pro Ray Henson bet 2,500 in the big blind on a {7-Spades}{10-Spades}{q-Hearts} flop, and his opponent in the small blind put all but 25 of his chips in, a bet of 7,500. Henson put him all in, and the player quickly called.

Henson: {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Opponent: {k-}{7-}

Henson was ahead and he stayed there as the {4-Clubs} turn was followed by an {a-Diamonds} river.

Elsewhere, Tommy Vedes has entered the tournament. Vedes is a two-time World Poker Tour champ with just shy of $4 million in lifetime cashes.

Gaviao Doubles Through Tucker

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

Jonathan Gaviao checked a {7-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{q-Hearts} flop, and Issac "Rungood" Tucker made it 1,600 to go. Gaviao jammed for 11,075, and Tucker exchanged some banter with his opponent before calling.

Tucker: {10-}{9-}
Gaviao: {q-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}

The turn and river came clean for Gaviao, and he doubled up.

"If I didn't have a million in chips, I wouldn't have called," Tucker assured him.

Olivier Busquet was absent from his table, and the players there said he'd been eliminated by Tripp Kirk. He resurfaced at another table.

Rodney Spriggs, meanwhile told everyone he was calling it a night after getting his last 8,000 or so in with {k-}{j-} on a {j-}{8-}{4-} flop and failing to get his three-outer against a player with {a-}{j-}.

RunGood Tulsa Hard Rock Day 1a

On a completed board of {k-Spades}{3-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}, Issac Tucker had 8,000 in front of him. Jesse McVicker came out with 24,000, and Tucker responded by dropping all of his yellow T5,000 chips in, about 70,000 worth. McVicker said he was all in, and though it wasn't much more, Tucker laughed and said he had to fold.

"Wow," he said. "I did not think you had a hand."

McVicker flashed a pair of fours before putting his cards in the muck.
