Clyde Lorance Eliminated in 9th Place ($4,166)

Level 22 : 15,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Clyde Lorance
Clyde Lorance

Matthew Blackwell opened the pot for 80,000 and Clyde Lorance moved all in for 300,000 straight. The action folded back to Blackwell who wasted no time announcing a call.

Blackwell - {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Lorance - {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

Lorance gets it in with a premium hand but is up against the worst pair ace-queen can face. The board runs out clean for the pocket pair as it comes {j-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{10-Hearts}{j-Spades} and Lorance makes his way to the exit.

For his 9th-place finish, Lorance receives $4,166 and a seat in the end-of-season Poker After Dark freeroll.

Matthew Blackwell Elimiated in 8th Place ($4,929)

Level 22 : 15,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Matthew Blackwell
Matthew Blackwell

Matthew Blackwell has been getting his chips in good but failing to hold. A few orbits before he was knocked out, he got his {k-}{k-} all in against Li Wu's {a-Spades}{9-Spades}, but Wu came from behind to knock down Blackwell's stack to a mere 120,000. Blackwell tripled up a few hands later when his {5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} miraculously held up against two players.

In Blackwell's last hand of the night, Papa Karn opened the pot for 55,000 and Blackwell, next-to-act, moved all-in for 355,000. The action folded to Nic Petree who went into the tank for almost a minute before reshoving for 1,040,000. The action folded back to Karn who asked for the count, but after half a minute decided to let his hand go.

Matthew Blackwell - {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}
Nic Petree - {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}

Blackwell must once again fade the overcards to continue his Showbound journey. The flop came {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{6-Hearts}, and once again Blackwell is facing elimination. The turn {5-Diamonds} was no help, and the {j-Hearts} river improved Petree to a flush.

Blackwell goes out in 8th place and will collect $4,929 from the prize pool as well as a seat in the Poker After Dark freeroll.

William McCracken Eliminated in 7th Place ($5,952)

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
William McCracken
William McCracken

The action folded to William McCracken on the button and he shoved for around 350,000. Li Wu folded the small blind but Lance Hendricks called from the big blind.

McCracken - {k-Spades}{9-Clubs}
Hendricks - {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}

The flop paired both players when it came {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{q-Hearts}, putting McCracken even further behind in the hand. The {2-Diamonds} on the turn only worsened McCracken's chances while the {3-Spades} on the river ended them completely.

This is McCracken's second RGPS final table appearance since December. He will take home $5,952 for his performance this weekend, along with an invitation to the end-of-season Poker After Dark freeroll.

Papa Karn Eliminated in 6th Place ($7,161)

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Papa Karn
Papa Karn

Papa Karn open-shoved for his last 415,000 and chip leader Shane Fuller called out of the blinds to put the unofficial RunGood mascot at risk.

Karn - {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}
Fuller - {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}

Karn nursed a short stack into Day 2 and all the way to the final table, where he once held over a million chips. Karn must win this race to stay alive, but the deck fails to cooperate when the flop comes {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{j-Spades}. With no backdoor draws to hope for, Karn needs a nine to come from behind. Neither the {6-Clubs} turn or the {4-Hearts} river are what Karn needs and he hits the rail in 6th place.

For his performance in the Showbound Main Event, Karn earns $7,161 and an invitation to play for a seat on Poker After Dark in the end-of-season freeroll.

Li Wu Eliminated in 5th Place ($9,207)

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Li Wu
Li Wu

Li Wu went from an average stack to a short stack a few orbits back when he open-shoved over a million chips and Shane Fuller called it off. Wu held {7-Spades}{7-Clubs} against Fuller's {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds} and the latter took down the biggest pot of the day when the board ran out {j-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{10-Spades}.

Wu was left with just 375,000 chips following that hand, but managed to maintain both his chip stack and his composure before the penultimate hand arrived.

Fuller opened the pot for 75,000 and Wu shoved for 350,000 from the small blind. Fuller called and the hands were revealed.

Wu - {10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}
Fuller - {9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}

Both players had live cards, though Wu had the diamonds covered. The flop came {k-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}, keeping Wu's cards live as kickers to avoid chop outs. The {4-Spades} on the turn changed nothing, but the river came the {9-Clubs}, pairing Fuller and sending Wu to the exit.

Wu earned $9,207 for his 4th-place finish and a seat in the Poker After Dark freeroll.

Lance Hendricks Eliminated in 4th Place ($12,183)

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Lance Hendricks
Lance Hendricks

The action folded to Lance Hendricks on the button and he moved his short stack into the middle. Kyle Kinder reshoved from the small blind and Shane Fuller surrendered the big blind.

Hendricks - {k-Clubs}{9-Hearts}
Kinder - {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}

The flop came {10-Clubs}{8-Spades}{5-Clubs}, and ever the optimist, Hendricks said, "I've got the clubs covered." The the point was moot as the board ran out {2-Spades}{5-Spades} to send the pot over to Kinder.

Hendricks exits the Showbound Main Event in 4th place and will collect $12,183 from the prize pool, along with an invitation to participate in the end-of-season Poker After Dark freeroll.

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Three-handed play over the last hour has consisted mainly of small ball poker. Effective, but only over the long-haul. The chip lead has shifted from Shane Fuller to Kyle Kinder, with Nic Petree riding a stack that fluctuates the most from hand-to-hand. The chip counts will continue to be updated, whether or not we witness stories worthy to post.
