Gabriel Eliminates Hilliard

Level 7 : 400/800, 800 ante

Young Hillaird and Tony Gabriel got all of the chips in preflop, with Hilliard's stack at risk.

Young Hilliard: {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}
Tony Gabriel: {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}

Board: {7-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{q-Spades}{6-Diamonds}

Gabriel's pocket kings had Hilliard dominated, with top set coming in on the flop and the turn bringing in a full house, and clinching the elimination.

Feinberg Hits Quads, Harrington Dodges a Bullet

Level 7 : 400/800, 800 ante
Brent Harrington
Brent Harrington

Mark Feinberg gave PokerNews the details of a hand that resulted in Feinberg doubling up to 42,000, with Brent Harrington avoiding disaster.

The hand began with an under-the-gun limp, calls from Harrington on the button, and Rafi Azam in the small blind.

Feinberg raised to 3,800, and the under-the-gun player limp-shoved for 18,000. Harrington went into the tank for awhile, then folded, and Azam also folded. Feinberg made the call.

Mark Feinberg: {q-}{q-}
Under the Gun: {a-}{k-}

Board: {q-}{8-}{x-}{x-}{q-}

The river brought in quad queens for Feinberg on a runout that couldn't have gone better for his hand.

Harrington later said that the hand he was tanking on was pocket eights, which would have brought in a losing set of eights for Harrington.

Soriano Doubles Through Lanes

Level 7 : 400/800, 800 ante

All of the chips went in on the turn of a {4-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{7-Hearts} board, with Henry Soriano's stack at risk against Richard Lanes.

Henry Soriano: {a-Spades}{j-Spades}
Richard Lanes: {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}

Soriano's trip jacks left Lanes drawing extremely thin, and the river {7-Diamonds} sealed the deal for Soriano.

Walker KOs Meyers

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Kevin Meyers open shoved from early position, and Mark Walker made the call, with Meyers covered.

Kevin Meyers: {k-Hearts}{5-Hearts}
Mark Walker: {a-Hearts}{6-Hearts}

Board: {2-Hearts}{10-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{6-Clubs}

The hand Walker turned over wasn't what Meyers wanted to see, with Meyers needing a king or a five to hit the board and Walker staying unimproved. No help came for Meyers on the runout, however, and he headed to the registration desk to buy in for another bullet.

Tang Says He's Running Bad, Proves It

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Jason Tang told PokerNews about a recent hand that saw Afzal Atta double through Tang, with the details confirmed by both Tang and Atta.

The hand started with a middle-position open to 2,500, a flat call from Tang in late position, and a call from Atta on the big bind.

Atta then shoved for 16,000 on the {5-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{j-Hearts} flop, with only Tang calling.

Afzal Atta: {7-Clubs}{7-}
Jason Tang: {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs}

The turn {8-Clubs} brought in a club flush draw to go with Tang's top pair, but the river brought disaster, as the {7-} hit the board to bring in a set of sevens for Atta.

Just as Tang was finishing that story, he opened to 3,000 in another hand, was min-raised by Stefano Barone to 6,000, and Tang shoved, with Barone snap calling.

Jason Tang: {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}
Stefano Barone: {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}

Board: {3-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{10-Spades}{j-Hearts}

Tang immediately went to the registration desk to buy in for one more bullet, hoping his luck will improve.
