Mataya Tries to Trap Rampage

Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Scott Mataya
Scott Mataya

Ethan "Rampage" Yau opened to 9,000 from the button and was then three-bet to 21,000 from Scott Mataya in the small blind.

Yau made the call and the two went heads-up to a flop of 359, which saw a continuation from Mataya for 26,000. Yau wasted no time in making the call and the duo saw the turn come the 2.

Mataya decided to slow down and checked to Yau who then fired for 35,000. This did not seem to bother Mataya as he made the call to see the 3 fall on the river.

Mataya checked once more and Yau quickly checked back, to which Mataya flipped over A7 for the ace-high flush. Yau smirked and tossed in his cards while the pot was pushed over to Mataya.

Kolwalk Sent to Rail in Wretched Fashion

Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Curtis Kowalk moved all in preflop for his last 66,500 and action folded to Daniel "Wretchy" Martin in the big blind made the call after some pause.

Curtis Kowalk: A10
Daniel Martin: 66

Martin was a favorite going into this flip with his pocket pair, but those odds greatly increased when the flop came 632 to leave Kowalk drawing completely dead. The runout of 10Q did nothing and Kolwalk was sent to the rail as Martin stacked his new chips.

Yau Takes Down Big Pot; McKellar Bounces Back

Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Ethan Yau
Ethan Yau

On a heads-up completed board of 5886Q, there was already around over 175,000 in the pot when Pierce McKeller led out for 85,000.

The action was then on Ethan "Rampage" Yau who responded by moving all in for more, which prompted a disheartened fold by McKellar to award him the huge pot.

With this win, Yau's stack was boosted up to 380,000 while McKellar was left with around 55,000.

Luckily for McKellar, he was able to double up a few hands later when his ace-eight defeated the ace-jack of Scott Mataya.

Duan Takes it at Showdown

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

On a three-way flop of 5610, Daniel Turner in the big blind checked to Tyler Patterson in middle position who bet 16,000 into the pot of 51,500. Bin Duan made the call from the hijack and Turner came along as well to see the turn 3.

All three players decided to check through to the river J and they all checked once more. Duan then flipped over 109 for a pair of tens and the other two quickly mucked to award him the pot.
