Brutal Turn for Drake

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Sean Drake moved all in preflop and was called by Naga Kakumanu to put his tournament life at risk.

Sean Drake: JJ
Naga Kakumanu: AK

Drake was ahead on the flop of Q910, but the turn J was brutal as it gave him a set but it also gave Kakumanu the nut straight. The river3 failed to pair the board and Drake was sent to the payout desk as Kakumanu raked in the pot.

Nally Puts Liu to the Test

Shijia Liu

On a heads-up turn of Q3A5, Shijia Liu had bet 44,000 after a check from Wesley Nally in the small blind, but then Nally check-jammed to cover Liu.

Liu then went deep into the tank to consider his two options, with his tournament life at risk. After a full minute, he pushed the rest of his stack into the middle to make the call.

Nally then grimaced and flipped over JJ for just a pair of jacks while Liu proudly tabled A10 for a pair of aces. The board completed with the 3 and Liu scooped the pot for a big double-up while the table praised his call.

Kessler Kicked Out with Kings

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Ethan "Rampage" Yau opened to 15,000 and then Allen Kessler moved all in for 66,000. Bin Duan made the call but then Yau re-popped it to 155,000 to force a fold from Duan and the cards were tabled.

Allen Kessler: KK
Ethan Yau: JJ

"Ok, no funny business," Kessler said to the dealer as she spread out a safe flop of 6A9.

But there was no power in Kessler's words as the J spiked on the turn to give Yau a set of jacks for the lead.

"I said no funny business!" Kessler sighed as the board completed with the 6 to improve Yau to a full house and he was sent to the rail.
