Nam Phan, the 2019 RGPS Kansas City Main Event champion has been spotted in the field with a healthy stack of 57,000.
Meanwhile, at the adjacent table, Jacob Seale is also in the mix with a stack of 26,000. Seale was the runner-up to Phan in 2019 after the two agreed to a chop and played for an additional $5,000 and the RGPS ring.
Phan secured the win when the two got it all in with Seale holding ace-king against Phan's pocket deuces. Phan ended up flopping a set and managed to fade a flush draw on the river to take down the first-place prize of $42,428.
With the way things are looking for this series, that prize money will be more than doubled for this event so both players will have to bring their A-game if they want to be crowned champion.

The players are now on their first 10-minute break of the evening and will return to the felt shortly.
On a heads-up flop of 3♦3♣K♦, there was around 15,000 in the middle when Nate Steuer bet 4,100 and was check-called by Timothy Finley.
The turn came the 2♣ and both players decided to check and went straight to the river 10♥.
Finley checked once more to Steuer who then fired out an overbet of 24,000 and sent Finley into the tank.
After a good while, Finley tossed in the call but was then shown A♦K♥ by Steuer and he promptly mucked his hand.
Steuer was then awarded the huge pot to boost his stack to over 65,000.

Shawn Dedrich opened to 2,000 from early position but was then raised to 6,000 by Club GG qualifier Randon Kent on the button.
Action folded back to Dedrick who made the call and the two went heads-up to a flop of 2♦J♣3♣. Dedrick checked over to Kent who continued for 7,000 but then Dedrick quickly moved all in for around 70,000, covering Kent.
Kent was deep in thought for about 15 seconds before he decided to risk his tournament life and set his stack across the betting line.

"Wow nice call," someone at the table said when the cards were exposed.
"Yeah, I just didn't know if he had an over-pair or not," Kent replied as the board ran out Q♦2♣ to secure his victory for the big double-up.
"Ugh, yeah, I didn't think you had a jack in your hand that you would be three-betting with," Dedrick admitted as he paid out the 37,500 to Kent to leave him with around 34,000.
Kent, who won his seat to this event by way of a CashCowsPokerTV promotion via Club GG, is now sitting at 87,000 and is one of the larger stacks in the room.

After losing a sizeable pot the previous hand, WSOP bracelet winner Jeff Tebben moved all in preflop for around 10,000 and was called by RunGood Ambassador Preston McEwen to put him at risk.
Jeff Tebben: 4♦4♣
Preston McEwen: A♥10♣
Tebben was a favorite going into this flip, and the board of 5♠9♦K♠6♣9♠ was safe for him as he secured the pot for the double-up.
