The PokerStars European Poker Tour (EPT) Paris has been taking place all week long, and there has been a lot of action. We recently talked about much of it in the latest episode of the PokerNews Podcast, which you can listen to here.

Here’s a look at five of the most exciting hands captured in our live updates from the EPT Paris, including one involving Johan "Yoh Viral" Guilbert that didn't sit well with many in the poker industry.

The third event of The RunGood Poker Series Checkpoint at Jamul Casino In San Diego, California was the $250 Deepstack, which saw the second biggest prize pool of the series. Over the course of two flights, a total of 220 entrants came to play which secured only 28 players a piece of the $48,875 prize pool.
Some of the players that found their ways to cashes included Lena Evans (28th-$325), Rich Lanes (20th-$530), Anthony Bland (14th-$790), Corey Peebles (13th-$790), and Garry Gates (9th-$1,050).
At the end of it all, it was RGPS ambassador Lexy Gavin-Mather who took down her second RGPS deepstack ring after an icm deal was made three-handed. She takes home the biggest prize of $8,618 and adds herself as one of the two-time RGPS title holders.

With two players calling in front of him, Rodney Danger raised to 1,300 from the cutoff and Garry Gates three-bet to 4,300 from the small blind. All players besides Danger folded and the flop was seen by two players.
Gates continued on the flop for 3,500 and Danger called.
On the turn, Gates moved all in for 16,400 effective and Danger snap-called.

Gates was left to draw to one of the two remaining queens in the deck, which did not materialize on the river and Danger found a significant double, while Gates was left with 5 big blinds.

There are no breaks for the award-nominated RunGood Poker Series (RGPS) team as they head to Mississippi later this month for RGPS Horseshoe Casino Tunica taking place Feb. 28-March 5. Not only that, RGPS Bay Area also takes place at Graton Casino in the Bay Area Feb. 28-8.
And with all of this happening, the RGPS team has once again been nominated for "Best Mid-Major" at the annual Global Poker Awards, while RunGood founder Tana Karn is also in the running for for “Industry Person of the Year.”
The RGPS Tunica "Checkpoint" stop will feature several Ring Events and will culminate with the $200,000 guaranteed $200 buy-in RGPS Tunica Main Event scheduled to run March 3-5.
The RGPS Tunica stop will kick off with a $200 Seniors Ring Event on Feb. 28, followed by a $165 Opening Night Guest Bounty Ring Event the same day. There will also be several $165 Flip & Go Ring Events running on demand, the first of which gets underway on Feb. 28.
The next day, the two-flight $250 DeepStack Ring Event will get underway as players complete for an RGPS ring and the lion's share of the $50,000 guaranteed prize pool.

Rich Lanes raised to 1,300 in the small blind and Scott Aulds defended his big blind.
On the flop, Lanes continued for 2,500 and Aulds called.
Lanes sized up to 4,000 on the and Aulds wasted little time in calling.
Action checked to Aulds on the river and he moved all in for 8,700 which left Lanes shaking his head as he flicked his hand into the muck. The pot was then pushed in the direction of the newly crowned PLO champion.

With three players calling in front of him, Mark Feinberg raised to 3,300 which saw three players call.
The flop of checked over to the early position player who bet 5,000 which only Feinberg called.
Feinberg checked the and his opponent bet 5,000 which Feinberg responded to by raising to 15,000, getting a quick call.
On the river, Feinberg moved all in for 16,200 effective which his opponent quickly called.
