Day 1a has been an up-and-down affair so far for Tyson Apostol, but he's back around 20,000 chips after shutting down an opponent with a turn raise.
The board read when Apostol checked from the cutoff, and his opponent on the button bet 2,200. Apostol put in the check-raise to 6,000, and his opponent tanked for a bit before giving up his hand.
Apostol and Brian "The Golden Blazer" Frenzel are seated at the same table, providing one of the more interesting lineups among the tables in play on Level 5.
