Travell Thomas opened with a raise to 8,500 and Randy Pfeifer three-bet shoved for around 58,000. Thomas called and tabled . He was flipping against Pfeifer's , and the board brought Pfeifer's tournament to an end in 24th place.
Budway Salhab raised to 8,000 from the cutoff and found a three-bet ship from Leon Halat for 31,000. Salhab mulled over the choice for a moment before dropping in a call and rolling over .
"You might be ahead," said Halat. "I only looked at a jack."
Halat rolled over to show that Salhab was indeed ahead. The board ran out and Halat was unable to improve to the best hand. He was eliminated from play and Salhab now has around 200,000 in chips.
Blake Napierala lost a huge pot to Tom Clayton earlier in the day, and Clayton got the rest of his chips just moments ago. Napierala was all in for around 40,000 preflop with and in dire straits against Clayton's , and the rang true for Clayton.
Kai Koppe got his short stack of 47,000 all in before the flop against Matt Cafarella.

Both players paired up when the flop came down but Koppe retained his lead with a pair of jacks. Cafarella failed to improve on the turn () or the river () which meant that Koppe was able to double up. This hand crippled Cafarella who was left with just 30,000.
Andy Spears raised to 10,000 from early position and Matt Cafarella moved all in for 26,000 from middle position. Michael Iacovano then re-shoved from the blinds, and Spears got out of the way.

A small crowd gathered as the dealer rolled out a flop. The turn was the , and Cafarella had three outs to save him on the river. Sure enough, the arrived to save Cafarella from elimination.
Michael Iacavone moved all in for 51,000 from the cutoff and Ryan Hall re-raised from the button. The blinds released, and the cards went on their backs.

On a flop of , Mark Bowman moved all in for 46,000 and found calls from Tom Clayton and Brian McCormick. Clayton and McCormick checked it down as the hit the turn and a third diamond fell on the river.
The all-in Bowman showed for top pair with a queen kicker which was ultimately behind McCormick's for a diamond flush. McCormick scooped up the pot and burst the bubble in the process by sending Bowman to the rail. Players are now re-drawing for the final two tables.
