Bartolotta, Demmerley Dusted

Level 7 : 300/600, 75 ante

Cam Bartolotta told us he ran queens into kings on his way out of the tournament area. Anthony Guggino and Art Demmerley were also eliminated during this level. Re-entry is still open for another 55 minutes so we'll see if they take advantage.

Break #2

Level 7 : 300/600, 75 ante

It's time for another break while the T25-denomination chips are removed from play. We'll be back in 15.

Approaching 100

Level 8 : 400/800, 100 ante

In order to reach the $50,000 guarantee for Event #5 there would need to be an average of 84 entries for each of the six starting flights. Tournament staffers told us they were expecting around 80 for this morning's flight, and that number has easily been surpassed with 10 minutes still left on the clock. We're at 98 and counting right now.

The 100

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

With the seconds ticking down in Level 8 there were 99 entries on the tournament board, but one player was at the ATM and yelled to hold a spot for him. That brought the field to an even 100 — a great start to this event. Registration is now closed and there are four more levels in Flight A before the players bag and tag.

Bowen Cracks Aces

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

With the board showing {9-Clubs}{10-Spades}{2-Diamonds}, Roy Sorgenfrei committed all of his chips with the {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds} and Brian Bowen snap-called with the {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}. Bowen stood up as the {3-Hearts} and {8-Hearts} completed the board and he tapped the table in excitement before raking in a huge pot.

Bowen is now the chip leader with around 115,000.
