2014 Summer Slam Results

Level 3 : 75/150, 0 ante

Joe Ciffa has been the talk of the 2014 Seneca Niagara Summer Slam series. On Saturday Ciffa won Event #2 outright for more than $10,000, and on Sunday he pocketed another $4,000 by chopping Event #3 three ways and going on to win his second trophy in as many days.

Doug Cloud added his name to the list of winners last night with his victory in Event #5 and there are still two more champions to come. Here's a look at the complete schedule for the 2014 Summer Slam.

Swackhamer Clipped by Set

With the board showing {9-Clubs}{8-Spades}{2-Spades}{Q-Spades}{4-Diamonds}, Randy Swackhemer was facing a bet of 6,950 from the player in Seat 1 with more than 10,000 in the pot already. Swackhamer announced a called and discovered the bad news; his opponent had the {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} for a flopped set, which trumped Swackhamer's {J-Hearts}{J-Clubs}.

This is a Tournament Table, Sir

Level 5 : 150/300, 25 ante

Normally on Fridays Table 9 is reserved for Omaha cash games, so you can understand the confusion when a player tried to sit down in the Summer Slam Main Event with $5 chips moments ago.

"I need your tournament receipt," the dealer told him.

"This isn't Omaha?"

"This is a tournament, sir. Omaha is in the back of the room today."
