Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Chip leader Brett "Roscoe" Short continues to plow his way through this field. He eliminated Derek SchlesInger in 11th place to secure our final table. SchlesInger three-bet shoved with his remaining stack and Short, the original raiser, called.

SchlesInger: {K-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}
Short: {10-Hearts}{7-Hearts}

The board ran out {8-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{A-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{8-Hearts} to give Short a straight and the pot. The remaining players are making their way to the final table. We'll have a draw for you shortly.

"Johnny Vegas" Eliminated in 10th Place ($477)

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

He refuses to give us his real name, but the gentleman known as "Johnny Vegas" has been eliminated. He moved all in preflop with the {10-Spades}{8-Spades} and two players called. One of them had {A-}{K-} and paired a king to send Mr. Vegas back to Sin City.

Dean Metzger Eliminated in 8th Place ($721)

Level 20 : 6,000/12,000, 1,000 ante

Shamel Thomas raised to 24,000, Kevin Mathias flatted, and Dean Metzger shoved for around 160,000. Thomas released, but Mathias called.

Metzger: {A-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}
Mathias: {7-Spades}{7-Hearts}

Metzger needed help to stay alive, but the {8-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{K-Spades}{5-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} board failed to improve his hand. Mathias is our new chip leader with around 480,000.

Joe Ciffa Eliminated in 7th Place ($930)

Joe Ciffa

Joe Ciffa turned the nut straight in a massive pot against Thomas Hawthorne, but it turned out he was already drawing dead. On a board of {3-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{10-Hearts}, the two players got it all in for a pot worth around 630,000. Ciffa showed {Q-Hearts}{J-Spades}, but Hawthorne had the superior {A-Hearts}{J-Hearts} for a flush. Ciffa couldn't even draw to a straight flush as Hawthorne had it blocked with his {J-Hearts}. Ciffa hit the rail, and Hawthorne is our new leader.
