Rivers Keeps Rolling

Level 7 : 300/600, 75 ante

We walked up on a big pot brewing between Ryan Rivers and Alex Barker. With 26,000 in the pot already, Rivers and Barker saw a flop of {9-Spades}{10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} and both checked. The {9-Diamonds} hit the turn and Rivers bet 10,000, enough to put Barker all in. Barker tossed his lone T10,000 chip into the pot for the call.

Rivers: {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}
Barker: {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}

Barker was already drawing dead, and the meaningless {8-Hearts} completed the board to send Barker to the rail.

Dan Piccioli doubled through Rivers on the next hand, but yesterday's runner-up in Event #10 is still sitting comfortably with around 65,000.

With the board showing {2-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{9-Spades}{J-Spades}{5-Hearts}, Hoss Colao bet an unknown amount and Dean Metzger raised to 12,700 total. Colao went into the tank, and eventually opted to let technology decide his fate. He opened up a Coin Flip app on his phone.

"Heads I call, tails I fold," he told Metzger.

It landed heads, and Colao stuck to his promise.

"Good call," Metzger said as he tabled {10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} for ten-high. Colao revealed his winning {K-Spades}{J-Clubs}

"Does it always come up heads?" someone at the tabled asked.

Colao: "No, but I do whatever it says."

Bartolotta Busts Visbisky

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Alex Visbisky, who took sixth in last night's 2014 Western New York Poker Challenge Event 10: $300 No-Limit Hold'em for $1,558, got his stack all in preflop and found himself in dire straits against Cameron Bartolotta.

Bartolotta: {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Visbisky: {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}

Visbisky had woke up with "walking sticks," and they would up walking him right out the door as the board ran out a dry {2-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{9-Spades}.

Pfeifer Doubles Through Roberts

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Randy Pfeifer was moved to Table 3 here in Level 11, and within minutes he doubled through Mark Roberts. Action folded around to Roberts in the small blind and he opened to 4,000. Pfeifer called, bringing a flop of {6-Hearts}{2-Spades}{9-Clubs}. Roberts bet 6,000 and Pfeifer raised to 15,900. Roberts called, and then slowed down with a check on the {K-Hearts} turn. Pfeifer moved all in for 17,900, and Roberts looked anguished as he tossed in the call.

Pfeifer: {9-Spades}{7-Diamonds}
Roberts: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}

Pfeifer's pair of nines were good, and he doubled through when a brick hit the river. These two have plenty of history, so we'll keep an eye out for more hands like this today.
