Running Out Of Customers

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Buck Ramsay
Buck Ramsay

Buck Ramsay just hit the 300,000 mark, busting Mike Rellinger in the process.

Ramsay opened, Thinh Bui flatted and Rellinger shoved the small blind for less than 40,000. Ramsay slid out all his red T10,000 chips and Bui folded.

Ramsay: {j-Hearts}{j-Spades}
Rellinger: {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts}

Rellinger got up to walk away, but that old trick did not work, as the board rolled out {j-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{5-Spades}{7-Clubs}{6-Clubs}, leaving him dead on the turn.

"Keep this up and you're going to run out of customers," Bui said with a smile.

Pfeifer Finished

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Randy Pfeifer gave back the double up he got from James Miller, running jacks into his aces.

He survived longer than most with his short stack, but eventually ran deuces into 'Buffalo' Ray Williams' {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}. Williams flopped aces up and turned a boat to sink Pfeifer.

Ciffa On The Come

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Steve Calvaneso kept shoving. It worked every time, until the last one, when Joe Ciffa finally called.

Calvaneso held {a-Spades}{10-Clubs} this time, but would need a lot of help against Ciffa's {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}. He got none from a flop that made Ciffa a set and said his goodbyes early.

Lu Leads Into The Last Break

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Yi-Wei Lu
Yi-Wei Lu

The remaining players are off on the final ten minute break of the night and will return to play two more 40-minute levels before bagging up.

Yi-Wei Lu takes the lead into this break, after busting yet another player.

They got it all in preflop with Lu on {a-}{k-} and this opponent holding {10-}{10-}. Just one pair would have done the trick for Lu, but he made two.

Ranaletti Runs Miller

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante
Andy Ranaletti
Andy Ranaletti

Andy Ranaletti opened to 5,100 and got four callers.

He continued on the {a-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{3-Hearts} flop and got two callers before James Miller min-raised. Only Ranaletti called and Miller jammed almost 50,000 in on the {k-Hearts} turn.

Ranaletti called with the {9-Hearts}{7-Hearts} flush. Miller had the {a-Spades}{j-Hearts} for top pair and the heart redraw. The {j-Diamonds} river was no good and Miller said goodnight as Ranaletti became a threat to bag big.

Another Shorty Shoves

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante
Buck Ramsay
Buck Ramsay

Buck Ramsay continues to send people home with a frown.

His latest victim was a short stack shoving {k-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} into his big blind. Ramsay made up the 20,000-chip difference with the dominated {10-Clubs}{8-Clubs}. His opponent even had a blocker, but couldn't prevent Ramsay from finding two clubs on the flop and a third on the river.

The field is now down to 18 and two tables heading into the last level for the night and it's a toss up for the lead between Ramsay and Yi-Wei Lu.

Block Threatens After Felting Napierala

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante
Rick Block
Rick Block

Rick Block is now a good bet to bag big in defense of his title after felting Blake Napierala.

He defended his big blind with the {k-Clubs}{6-Clubs} against a Napierala open, then check-raised on the {j-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} flop. Napierala called, and then led again for 35,000 when Block checked the {k-Diamonds} turn.

Block called and then slyly checked the {10-Clubs} river. Napierala shoved and Block beat him to the pot with the call. Napierala mucked and complimented Block's play before saying goodnight.
